“They've had to raise prices over the past few years. I know. Inflation stinks. But they certainly haven't skipped on quality and quantity. I got a poo poo platter and a reg prok fried rice. I ate my fill. And easily have enough for 2 more meals. I actually spent alot of time inJapan. The food here is pretty on point. As for recommendations, ask for a spicy general tso's. That's my go to.”

“We ordered the lunch Scallops Hibachi and the lunch sushi meal with a additional Philly roll. They both came with Miso soup, and his with a salad. Everything was brought to our table in under 10 minutes and was outstanding. We have tried a large selection of sushi houses in various cities and this one is our new favorite. Lunch for 2, with one drink and a water was $24 before tax, and was well worth it.”

“I can't really think of anything bad of the Callahan Library. All I can think of is the good! A huge selection of books, movies, and audio books that you can browse through as well as numerous computers to hop on and surf through the internet. The Librarians are some of the nicest people I have ever met and are there to help you out whenever you needed to know where the WW2 books are. Finally, this place is as clean and orderly as a whistle. It's not dusty, It's not crowded, But it is certainly a relaxing place to find a book or sit down on one of the chairs and read.”

“This is where the locals go to have a good meal! Absolutely huge portions, even the cups are large. Our server was quick as a whip and very nice even though it got very busy. The girls working there were hustling, between phones/drive through, tables, cash register and phone orders.. they had it handled! Good country eating here, don't come with your tight pants on. I had the bbq baked potato and it was enough to feed at least 3 or 4 people! Brisket was pretty decent and the whole thing was smothered in cheese. A LOT of cheese. Wasn't a fan of the hush puppies - they tasted like a prepared mix and were cold but that's the only complaint. Skip the green beans & coleslaw - get the Mac & cheese!! Great value!”

“First off, I showed up here on a whim & very last minute. Donna fit me right in & was very helpful and friendly, she even stayed late to finish my hair. She literally brought my hair back to life . I have very damaged hair & it is hard to work with , and she still did Amazing!! She even scheduled a last minute next day app for me to add even more. I feel like a brand new person and I will definitely be coming here again! I recommend going here to everyone and anyone, especially if you prefer a private salon. “I have known Dr. Swanson for many years. He has taken care of all my animals since I moved to Callahan in 1992. No matter what time I called him he got me right in. I will never forget when my beloved cat Clovis had an embolism at 930pm. He was in pain and horrible distress and Dr Swanson took me right in and unfortunately Clovis had to be euthanized but I was so thankful to get him relief from his pain. I couldn't take it. Dr Swanson was very compassionate and gentle. I'm just so thankful for him still being around.”
