Liberty Park

Park

“Great park. Old school wooden playground. A bit dirty but shaded and it has a great splash pad. Some things need maintenance like the broken tight rope and a hole in the canvas bridge, but overall it's a great place to wear out the kids.”

Doris Davis Forman Wilderness Preserve

Address: 7300 Parkside Dr, Parkland, FL 33067, USA

Park

“This is a very beautiful nature trail in the heart of Parkland. It does not have it's own parking lot so you have to park down the street at the Riverland Elementary School and then walk over. Named for the family that donated the land there is a half mile loop, part path and part boardwalk that winds through 20 ares of tropical hammock. At the start of the trail the city has kindly left some bug spray to protect you from the mosquitoes. Wildlife that has been sighted here include 51 species of birds including herons and owls, butterflies, raccoons, snakes, foxes, mice, frogs, and toads. There are benches along the path and a large outdoor pavilion donated by the Riverland PTA for use as an outdoor classroom. It is wonderful that Parkland was able to save this parcel of land from being developed into apartments.”
