“I was just dropping my son off to the Southwest Airlines terminal at 4 pm today June 16, 2022 when an incident occurred with a BSO officer. As I was dropping my son off an ambulance needed to come in and I was trying to get out of the way as you should to make room for the ambulance. One BSO lady officer was waving me forward while a BSO man was telling me to back up. I was already backing up to get out of the way of the ambulance and the very rude man BSO don't have a name or badge number was trying to give me different directions. I put my hands up to try and find out which they wanted ? Back up or go forward to get out of the way. The officer banged on my car so I stopped and opened my window at which point he said I was rude and he didn't have time for nasty comment. I told him I hadn't even spoken and he told me my hand gesture indicated I was being rude. He then told me " I hope one of your family members never need an ambulance" " asked me what do you do when an ambulance is coming?" I answered " get out of the way" and told him that's what I was doing. I told him he upset me and I didn't know how I was going to get home" he asked why? I told him he upset me and that I wasn't doing anything wrong. He asked me if I needed fire rescue ? I told him no. Then he asked who was I waiting for? I told him no one I just dropped my son off. He then said I hope you have a good day. He was condescending and rude. And perhaps some better training and people skills would help. addendum Thank you to LT Jon Commella that took the time to review my incident and listened to my concern. I greatly appreciate the response.”

“CON: The line to get my rental took about an hour because the computer system kept shutting down on the employees. Highly recommend a new system for faster check in. PRO: I can say that the employees are nice and the wonderful woman I had even gave me some restaurants to try while I was in town and tried one of the places that night. The car was nice and everything seemed pretty easy for my first time renting from AVIS. Would recommend but be patient.”

“Had a Roasted Turkey and Jack sandwich from a Tampa Airport food stand. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the sandwich was. The bread was a good thickness with a great nutty, multigrain flavor. The pepper jack cheese was the right level of spiciness and even the tomatoes had flavor. This was definitely one of the better airport sandwiches I have had in recent memory. Only thing that prevents 5 stars is the price (~$9!).”

“My favorite snack or dessert! Consistently good! Frosting is delicious and not too sweet in my opinion. Bundt cakes are always served cold and need to sit out to actually get soft and to room temp. Ask for a utensil if you need one! Staff do not automatically put them in bag. Favorites: 1. Strawberry (seasonal) 2. Red velvet 3. Lemon This location could use some music, or maybe staff that are a tad bit more upbeat. It is always kind of awkward walking into this location. Most times the staff seem very “sleepy” and not enthused at all.”

“The service was AMAZING! The only thing I didn’t care for was having to take a shuttle to the car rentals but I won’t consider that a part of this rating. Once we arrived at the desk we were greeted immediately and had our car within 5 minutes of arriving at the rental desk. The agent (I cannot remember his name) was very friendly and very helpful... he even upgraded us for free from a standard sized car to a full size! The car was clean and ready to go before we got there. The drop off process was simple as well. They were closed during the time we had to have the car back by but they have attendants in the rental garage to assist you I’m assuming 24/7 because our car was checked in 10 minutes after dropping it off. This is my first time renting with Payless and it won’t be my last! Thank you Payless for making this experience as least stressful as possible! I’m a nervous wreck anytime I travel and this was a very pleasant experience. Also, I had a $100 hold on my debit card until I dropped it off and it was back in my account two days later which was another added bonus!!”

The ladies working at the store were so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping by this store if you are in the Ft Lauderdale airport, you will not be disappointed. “What can I say? Several rentals inside and outside the building (stop 7). The ones inside, have their cars at site. The ones outside the building are off site, so it is needed to take a shuttle for each company at bus stop 7 (beware each company have their own shuttle)”

“Very conveniently located. Rental vehicle was very clean and looked brand new. We were able to choose the one we wanted. Return was very quick and convenient. All the Alamo staff members were friendly and helpful. I was asked repeatedly if everything was satisfactory. That was a rental car first for me! I really like the self-serve kiosks to check in on arrival. The only negative was that not all of the kiosks were working and there was some kind of computer glitch that caused the system to reboot and made us start over again.”

“I love the National car system of walking out to the aisle for my car. In Fort Lauderdale I received super helpful service and a car upgrade when I was picking up my car. Then I got super quick and easy check-in service from the staff on the return. The return system is always friendly and fast. I'm grateful for such a good rental, but the return staff always make me feel as though they are more grateful that I rented from National.”

“Cheap, fast, reasonable tolls and damages Thrifty small SUV $75/3days, in the airport car center. $9/day + tolls, only on days you use tolls! (improved from tricky policies in the past, but they do say $5/day, but a month later I have a $12 bill for a $3 toll). Virtual kiosk is fast to get going. Returning was fast, and they said nothing of the small scratch that was there in the beginning, but nobody noted.”

“Some of the bad reviews made me a little nervous about renting from here. I’ve rented a scant few times and only from Enterprise. But these guys were very cheap, especially for a full-size car (marketed as a Toyota Camry), so I decided to try. From the first call they were upfront about pricing and their fleet and I was informed the Camrys had largely been replaced with Dodge Chargers. Check in was great. The two ladies at the counter were friendly and easy going and we even joked a little. Car was indeed a brand new Charger. Check out and return was equally good. I realize different people have different experiences but honestly this one was very good. And I look forward to renting here again on a future visit! Thanks, Team Royal!”
