“Ray Lucke is highly skilled personable respectful and gives you the attention needed to correctly assist. I recently have become crazed with the wake surf sport behind our freshwater wakeboard/surf boat. A new surf style wakesurf board is no less than $400-$1000 and has no way to conveniently demo. I found a delaminating surf style wakesurf board on craigslist with a broken nose for $60 than was not safe to use for fear of fiberglass splinters. A camarillo surfer highly referred me to Ray Lucke @ back nine surf factory for repair. Before buying the board I texted a photo to Ray. To my surprise he took on the work and even did it before my family vacation (2 day turnaround). He gave my $60 hyperlite 5'6" wakesurf board a 2nd life. I loved that Ray didn't shy away from the repair as it was a different type of construction than the ocean bound surf boards. He also didn't charge me an unreasonable price :) He went through the trouble of even color matching the fiberglass repairs to the same aged yellowish color the fiberglass turned. Before leaving he was concerned the stomp pad was peeling off and handed me a adhesive bottle to reglue the stomp pad free of charge. This kind of service is typically non existent theses days.
