Russian Gulch State Beach

Address: 18794 Shoreline Hwy, Jenner, CA 95450, USA

Park

“Feels like our secret, private beach. No one there anytime we go. Jungle like trail to get to the beach makes it seem hard to find. Ok to get your feet wet, but i wouldn't swim out far. Wave can get rough. Not a surf board destination.”

Jenner Headlands Preserve

Address: 12001 CA-1, Jenner, CA 95450, USA

Park

“If you love coastal trails with few people and a great view of the Pacific, this is your place. The Jenner Headlands are on a hillside covered with grasses and scrub brush. Very few trees. If you like a good workout, the Sky-to-Sea trail goes from the parking lot to Pole Mountain, about 7.5 miles (15 round-trip). Dogs (on leash) are welcome ????! Why only 4 stars? Well, as I mentioned before, there are almost no trees, the preserve is exposed to the elements. In the summer, trails are in full sun. In the winter, trails tend to get rather muddy after the rain.”
