“My daughters (7 and 13) have been going to this school for a little over 2 years now. Sensei Kevin Schmad is an excellent instructor with kids and adults of all skill sets and abilities. He is personable, easy to speak with, and will pay attention to each students specific needs. Really a top flight martial arts experience for my girls, and I feel truly lucky that this school is so close to my home.”

“Im a 52 year old mom and was slightly intimidated by Pacifica Athletic Center because it seemed more like a guy’s guy gym. My son goes there with his friends and loves it!! I started working out there recently and couldn’t have been more wrong as the gym is amazing for the ladies as well! There is so much support and a lot of women there. What I love about it is the sense of community. I’ve been training with Topher and he is spectacular!! I’m learning so much about proper weight training and proper alignment to be able to do the machines with confidence. The staff are so supportive and always available if you have questions. A huge kudos as well to the awesome music and the place is pristine and so clean! Loving the classes too. Five stars all around!!”

“I love this YMCA for being a friendly and welcoming enviroment for all people. I have been a member since 2019, and I enjoy many of the classes. The front staff and all teachers are professional, kind, friendly. My favorite classes are less mills core, deep water fitness, TRX, body pump. From the classes I have taken, some of my favorite teachers (or subs) are or have been Terilyn, Susan, MariaElena, and of course Tina! Tina's energy is so contagious and she really encourages you to work hard.”

“Great community, Great coaches, and Great space. ASP has a huge facility with all the equipment you need to get stronger. Love the huge turf field inside. The coaches are the best. They have a great understanding of programming and take injury prevention seriously. They also facilitate a really close-knit community that's a ton of fun to be a part of. There are fun events throughout the year for members--annual fitness competitions, Christmas potlucks, etc... My personal favorite are the group classes, but they also offer 1-on-1 coaching/training if you want a little more personalized programming and goal-setting as well as youth athlete strength/conditioning to improve performance and decrease injury risk for the kiddos. They also have onsite Physical Therapy services (called Stronger PT) and members get discounted rates.”

“Lisa Green is an amazing physical therapist. She is very clear in her explanations, and great at answering questions. Her evaluations and physical therapy work is very well laid out to lead to a positive outcome; and she looks holistically at the whole body/person, not just the specific diagnosis (in my case, a back issue), since something going on in one body part so often affects other b body parts. The staff at Pacific THERx are organized and prompt with communications, paperwork, and so on. They are all very nice!”

“Andy and the staff at Elite take great pride in securing a safe environment for kids to practice and stay active during these trying times. Before any coach or player can enter the building they must have a mask on and have their temperature checked.”

“Prime Time is a fantastic gym. It has the only racquetball courts on the peninsula. I'll bet you $10 you can't sneak in or out past the front desk without being welcomed or wished a good day. Despite being quite busy, I have never wanted for a place to park or had to wait long for a piece of equipment, court, or shower. The cleaning staff is amazing. They are omnipresent and the place is pretty spotless. Some machines are showing their age, but most everything feels new which makes me think they have a good rotation of replacing and servicing equipment. Oh...and heated pool. Not too warm like bath water...or the jacuzzi they have. Warm enough so you're not freezing in the pool on a cold day. It's worth mentioning that every other patron I've encountered has been nothing less than polite and there are plenty of friendly faces who might say hi. I've also never seen anyone fail to wipe down the equipment after they have used it or leave the locker room in a mess. I'm very happy to be a member of a gym where both the staff and the members take care of and take pride in the place. Definitely pricey, but completely worth it.”

“My wife have been going to OT since April and have enjoyed every experience there. A full body workout in an hour. Always mixing it up. In fact, I don’t think we’ve ever had the same workout twice! The coaches in Pacifica are great! Big kudos to Tala (the fun one!), but sincerely all of them have been fantastic. The front staff is always friendly and helpful. Facilities are always spotless and the coaches are great about having the equipment wiped off every time. OT has got me in perhaps the best shape of my life at 61!”

“We went to a few martial arts studios before landing at Evolve, and it really is a step above the others. Mark's kid's Muay Thai class is great, very fast and active, supportive and fun, and my kid always gets a good workout and leaves in a good mood. Very nice and friendly staff too, can't recommend this place more highly.”

“Yesssss finally there is a cyclebar on the peninsula, and it’s so good!! I love cyclebar for the atmosphere and community, all the extra little touches, and how it feels luxurious (helloooo cold post-ride towels) but it’s actually affordable. And they don’t charge for shoe rentals. I’m totally hooked. The classes are consistently great quality with motivating instructors, and the focus is on doing what feels right for you. This is a brand new studio with the most premium bikes I’ve seen. I think the shoes are also a fancy new model, which is fun. Who knew I’d be excited over shoes, but here we are. The owner Jen is awesome and clearly cares about everyone’s experience, and they are putting so much effort into building a community with all their events. I love it. Be aware that doors close at class start.”

“It's a bit small but they use the space well and there's a good variety of climbs. Taking off 1 star because I think coaches/staff can be a bit more attentive when they're teaching classes with young kids. Too many times a kid will run under a climber and it creates a potentially bad situation for everybody.”

“Ocean Yoga has been my sanctuary, my refuge since it opened years ago. It has seen me through two pregnancies, recovery and countless insane travel schedules where my body, mind and soul have been put through the ringer. I always love coming home to Ocean Yoga. And now, it is back to in person classes and better than ever. The instructors are always top notch, offering a ton of variations so everyone at every level can feel welcomed and challenged. The space is so tranquil, and truly a refuge from the insanity of daily life. I am so excited for the new kids class offerings where kiddos can learn the power of yoga while parents can also take a class in the room next door. So many class offerings, you can find a class to fit almost any schedule and they will be adding more in the near future. Parking is easy and scheduling online or on the app is a breeze. Becoming a member is the best investment you can make in yourself and it pushes you to go consistently. I am excited as well to resume getting regular massages there as well. All their therapists are gifted in bodywork and you cannot go wrong scheduling with any of them.”

“This studio has always been pretty great, but it is especially awesome now. It's recently under new management, and you can really tell a difference--the interior of the studio has been refreshed, it's cleaner, and most importantly, the classes are as great as they've ever been. Challenging but welcoming workouts, with plenty of modifications and personal adjustments kindly and professionally offered when needed. You can get a good workout almost anywhere you go, but I genuinely look forward to each classic take here, which I can't say for other barre places on the Peninsula. Thank you, and keep up the awesome work!”

“Brought my 5 year old granddaughter here for Gymnastics and was very impressed with the entire experience. They do take measures to keep the children as safe as they can from covid. My granddaughter is initially very shy, but she felt comfortable as soon as we went in. She never felt as though she was behind the other children and learned a lot just from her first day. She absolutely loves it.”
