“Its a place you can actually reserve, unlike other beaches around here. It is a little tight where you camp, but if you hang out by the beach it shouldn't bother you. The walk to the beach is a little long, but you have time to take walks when you are camping. Parking can be a problem if you have visitors so plan ahead. Stores are quite a drive too so plan ahead. Beaches are nice.”

“I love staying here and have since I was a little girl. It's beautiful, secluded and quiet. I've never felt unsafe. I highly recommend this beach. The trailer spots are big and perfectly situated and the bungalows on the hill have a gorgeous view and are really clean and nice inside.”

“Camped one weeknight and our first time there. It's not bad for weeknight; I don't know about weekend. Train came by once in a while, but stop after 1030 or 11PM, and started again at 555AM by my smartphone. Of course the noises from the freeway are constantly there and it's sounded like waterfall. Over all we still have good time there.”

“The SCST trail complex is one of the best examples of coastal singletrack in Southern California. If you live in Orange or San Diego County, take the time to drive over here and ride for hour after hour, mixing and matching, climbing and snaking down swoopy singletrack trails. There is no right way to go, just do it! Park at the end of La Pata and drop in, or over by the Carl's Jr. and climb up along Christianitos (my preferred). Either way, bring lots of water as it can get hot in the sun, and there are no facilities except back at the skateboard park on La Pata. At the end of the day, drag your dirty self down to Pizza Port for the best pizza around and multiple bubbly malted beverages options!”
