“My husband and I met with Mary Beth to plan our final resting place. She was patient, thorough, kind and caring. She helped me execute plan following my husband's passing. The company provides resources to help families with next steps following the death of a loved one. Additionally, the location is beautifully maintained. Proctor Valley Natural Resource Area

Address: Chula Vista, CA 91914, USA

Park

“Just don't drive here at night if this is your first time visiting. I did just that and lost my orientation. It's a dirt road that didn't seem to end. Just thinking about that night creeps me out. Anyways, that was years ago. This road is decent hiking if there is daylight. Just don't let the sun set or the darkness will eat you alive. Nowadays, I'm familiar with this area so it doesn't freak me out so much. I'm not sure how good the hunting is out here but at nighttime, it feels like being hunted. With all that said, check out this beautiful area as it has a lot of natural elements.”

Town Center Dog Park

Address: Chula Vista, CA 91915, USA

“Smaller dog park but its not a bad one at all. It is always kept clean and is well maintained. Good for fluffier dogs because it's a pretty windy dog park because it's next to the big open area taken by the freeway (there are no fumes from cars). There are always dogs there for your pup to play with too!! Its also fun to go without having a dog due to all the dogs usually having lots of interest on people.”

Mother Miguel Mountain Trailhead

Address: 2345 Paseo Los Gatos, Chula Vista, CA 91914, USA

Park

“It's a great place to meet friends or make new ones. It is moderately to very strenuous. There are bathrooms and water at the park at the bottom. Do not forget to take at least 2- 16 oz bottles of water, if you haven't done this before. There are at least 3 false summits. It gets really hot while climbing. Take breaks. If you feel dizzy or tingly, Stop, Tell someone, Drink water and Rest. When you feel better, go back. There are amazing views all along the trail, so you don't have to go all the way to the summit to see amazing things. Work up to it, make that your future goal. Pace yourself. Have fun!”

Mount San Miguel Park

Address: 2335 Paseo Veracruz, Chula Vista, CA 91914, USA

Park

“It's a great place for families including their dogs to be together and enjoy each other's company, play a sport, get some sun, run the jogging trail, walk, hike or bike the many trails outside the park. There is even a dog park! After all that stuff you can have a family picnic as there are grassy areas and some covered picnic tables. During sporting events, there is a snack bar. Bathrooms are reasonably close and clean. There is ample parking both in the park and on the street. People stage here for trail running, walking, hiking and mountain biking as the trails are extensive. My opinion regarding the dog park. It needs shade trees. It does get warm and sunny here. If you are bringing your pet, morning or late evenings are best. Otherwise plan to provide shade for your pets if you are going to do family stuff.”

Mulberry Park

Address: Otay Ranch, Chula Vista, CA 91913, USA

Park

“I love coming here whenever I can with my dog and just laying under the trees, it's so peaceful. Well, when it's not full of elementary and middle school students.”
