“Mount Rubidoux Park has a great beginner level hike for all to enjoy. We parked at Ryan Bonaminio Park and climbed the hill to the start of the trail. The trail is paved, and great for kids. A stroller could also be used, though pushing it up the hill is some spots could be a workout. The weather was cool when we went, but I imagine it would be hot in the summertime, and there is very little shade. The hike didn’t take us very long, maybe an hour and a half to two hours tops, and that’s with little kids, and taking it very easy. There are good views of the surrounding landscape, as the trail wraps around all sides. This activity was a great choice to get the kids out of the house for a short time, and not too intense. There were quite a few people there, some choosing to run the hill as a workout, which would be a good one if you lived nearby. Again, good option that doesn’t require a big-time commitment or a lot of physical ability. Get in a workout, or just get some fresh air, either way it was fun for me and the family.”

“Came to Hunt Park pool to get cooled off this afternoon. 1:30-3:30. Came here as a kid every summer. Swim all day, meet friends, get snacks back in the 60's. Great memories. A lot has changed today. Will return to swim to get some exercise. 👍🏼”

“Great park! Friendly people visit here! Everything is clean and well maintained. Bbq/grill areas! Jungle gyms for big (and little) kids. No bathrooms, but the 99cent store down the street will let you go if you buy something and ask nicely. Have not seen any "hoodlums" hanging out here. Great place to take the kids, but no bathrooms is the ONLY downside!”

“Rutland park is a nice place to take a morning jog or just to have a nice little picnic. It Isn't the biggest, but a nice roomy size for many. Small playground but also has some basketball courts and a volleyball net. Large grassy area at the back and I will add pictures for reference.”

“Very nice building, and the staff is very friendly. The kiddie park is closed right now for repairs, but hopefully will be open soon. The Mommy & me ballet class is really good there. The teacher Courtney is excellent. She makes the class fun and non stressful for the new little ballerinas.”

“Well, the name, "Paradise", is an over statement but the falls are a welcome destination for a vigorous but very manageable hike in well maintained trails. The amount of water we found was a bit surprising though only a relative trickle--all the steam beds nearby were stone dry. Give this one a try. Good for kids (no strollers or toddlers, though) and suitable as an interesting stop on a longer loop in the mountains.”

“Great place. Beautiful plants and trees. Come with at least 2hrs to spent, this place is pretty big. We had to pay for parking at the bottom of the hill. 90 minutes was $2.50 on a Saturday. Bring comfortable shoes and water. Great place to take pictures at. Various hiking trails for all ages. Restrooms on site.”
