“It took me awhile to find a good, honest mechanic in Truckee that could work on my '74 F-250 without fumbling around. Rob did a great job, he diagnosed a problem that a previous other shop in Truckee only temporarily fixed by grossly compensating the air/fuel mixture. Rob not only fixed the job right, he also charged less than half what the other shop charged me for not really fixing my truck! My truck is running like a top! I am going to take all my vehicles to Rob from now on, my old Ford and my new Subaru, he can work on them all! I whole heartily recommend A Plus Auto. Not only is Rob a skilled Mechanic, but he has good business ethics and practices. He is honest, responsive, and is of the old school mentality of providing great customer service at all times. It is refreshing to still see a shop that values the customer coupled with real world skill and knowledge that only comes with a career of experience. The only downside to A Plus is that it is a small shop, so do not have the expectation that all the time one can drop something off without notice and get it fixed right away. But, to me that isn't really a negative, one will always know that you will have a experienced mechanic work on your car and not a kid right out of a trade school making $18/hr following a prompt from a computer screen.”

“Radiator hose got a hole while near Truckee, 4 hours from home. AAA tow to Quality Automotive because their website listed Land Rover as a brand they service- and mine is 15 years old. Took a day to get the part, and they did a great job repairing and testing my car to make sure I could make it the 4 hour drive home at night. They even provided a half gallon of extra radiator fluid, which is unique for LRs, in case I needed to cap off on the way. The topper, which prompted me to write a review is that the next day, Maggie texted me to make sure I got home ok, and the car was fine too. Needless to say, I got home fine and after having my Range Rover checked out at my local shop, he said the repair was great and it was good to go.”

“Got a flat tire in the middle of big snowstorm After numerous calls I found this tire shop. After two miles of slow drive I got all for tires which I really needed in twenty minutes at fair price. As a formed professional ice skater I like to skate but not on the roads😀”

In particular Cody went above and beyond and even lent me some of his own personal tools to get me back on the road again! Oriely’s specialty tool loan program, parts in stock, and Cody’s knowledge and resources saved my bacon! I made it home 250 miles away without further issues. “I received my R1T back earlier than anticipated. Costumer service kept me informed of the status when I had questions. 2 points I would like to make, 1. They are not there to hold your hand and they are not there for anger management therapy. 2. I’m an early adapter with Rivian, which means there is a learning curve, asking questions ahead of time, doing one’s homework, helps with communications and realistic expectations. I called periodically and asked questions without nagging or demanding. They answered me in a professional and timely manner. Treat people respectfully and you will be treated with respect.
