“This hotel is perfect for me! Everything was excellent, from the rooms to the restaurants, to the pool. Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa

“Rooms were average, and we could hear everyone walking past our room during our stay. The Spa was under construction and unavailable for use (wish we knew ahead of booking). Staff was 5/5 stars superb. The Valet workers were friendly and kind, while the front desk was helpful and accommodating. Staying here was nice, very walkable to great food options and sights.”

The Inn Above Tide

Address: 30 El Portal, Sausalito, CA 94965, USA

Lodging

“This boutique hotel feels like luxury in all details. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel important and they truly care. Gail is very sweet from the first phone call in she took great care of us, she showed us the two rooms available for 3 nights and we picked one got to check in immediately at 10am had breakfast (included). She also gave great recommendations. Ryan came to the recue us and dragged our luggage from another hotel that we had a sleepless nigh because of the beds. He’s also very helpful and knowledgeable of the area giving us hiking maps. Wine is served from 5-7 and who doesn’t like that. This hotel saved our vacation and made it extra special!!! Thank you Laura & Conrad”

Hawk Campground

Address: Sausalito, CA 94965, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Beautiful campsite. The hike up has great views of the Golden Gate and the surrounding hills. We took a little hike up the hill north of campsite to watch the sunset and the city across the water. Absolutely fantastic.”

Haypress Campground

Address: Sausalito, CA 94965, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Haypress is relatively close to the Tennessee Valley trailhead parking lot. There are several sites arranged in a linear fashion and a large group area. If it's a sunny day then you'll get lots of light/heat as the trees are to the west of the campsite. As backpacking sites they are some of the larger I've seen. Overall the campsite is roomy. Expect lots of bird activity in the morning. There is no water at the campsites, nor is there water at the trail head. No fires allowed. There are bear boxes to hold your food. The pit toilets are some of the nicest and cleanest I've seen. You can get a parking permit when you make your reservation. **There is no play structure at this campground. The auto-selected images Google provides depict a structure on Catalina Island (??)”

Bicentennial Campground

Address: 948 Fort Barry, Sausalito, CA 94965, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Such a nice place to camp especially if you want to go into the city it’s only 15-25 min away! There is a steep hill from the parking area to the actual campsite but it’s so short it doesn’t really matter.”

Cavallo Point Lodge

Address: 601 Murray Cir, Sausalito, CA 94965, USA

Spa Lodging

“One of the very finest hotels in the bay if not the world. Such a hidden gem. Well worth the drive just for lunch in the restaurant if not a weekend getaway or vacation. The peacefulness is striking given it's proximity to San Francisco. With amazing views of the Golden Gate and the city. Breathtaking.”

HI Marin Headlands Hostel

Address: 941 Rosenstock Rd, Sausalito, CA 94965, USA

Lodging

“Top-notch STELLAR staff and accommodations!!! The fact is that I was able to hike myself silly... to tromp about like a 13 year old kid and meet super unique folks from around the world...or isolate in a cozy corner with my laptop and write...or find a chill spot with a bench, read a book and sip tea whilst soaking up the solace!! Nighttime hiking in the rain and fog; a special experience yet challenging even with proper rain gear. ~ I stayed 3 days and loved every minute!!! ~”

Kirby Cove Campground

Address: 948 Fort Barry, Sausalito, CA 94965, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“We didn’t camp here since you have to reserve it like a year in advance. We did, however take a hike down and hang out in the cove and it was such a unique spot and perfect view of the bridge. Totally worth the hike. Also, the beach is made of the coolest little pebble sand, we may have taken some home ????”
