“They are simply the best! One morning I took my sweet cocker spaniel for a walk around Balboa Park where he was promptly attacked by a Pit Bull. The owner of the Pit Bull was very apologetic but that didn't help the fact that she couldn't control her dog who lunged at mine without cause. I rushed him to the nearest vet which was Encino Veterinary Center. They offered immediate attention and cared for my dog so lovingly that I knew I'd found a new vet home. Unfortunately, due to my dog's age and other complications, we had to put him down shortly thereafter. Losing a pet is heartbreaking. They are like your child and the loss was significant. I was truly comforted when a couple of weeks later I received a sympathy card from Encino Veterinary Center with thoughtful HANDWRITTEN messages from the staff. I was shocked and literally cried. When I buried my mother and paid an obscene amount I didn't receive a thoughtful message like this. I was absolutely touched that this company would go to such lengths. And to think with my dog gone, I am no longer a customer and yet they still showed such compassion. If I were ever to get another pet this would definitely be my "go to" veterinary. They're service is incomparable. Best pet clinic BY FAR.”

This place accepts the city vouchers so you can save some money. Once I used the voucher and once I paid. At the time it was a little more than 300 for the surgery and meds and the time I used the voucher was about 50 plus. But nothing crazy. Love their service. Thank you.”

“Don't do it! BUT if you do bring your dogs here to crop their ears. I brought my doberman and let me tell you they look beautiful. At first I was scared due to some of the reviews but I never had an issue with anyone. The Dr. spoke with me before and after surgery which was reassuring. Everyone is also really nice especially Gloria who does the tapping afterwards. Only negative thing is the phones tend to be busy since they are so busy. I found it best to call after lunch. Here's a picture of my baby, enjoy. P.s. try not to do ear cropping during the rainy season. Her tape got wet multiple times which made the process so much longer and frustrating.”

“Okay! I get it now! I took my dog back because somehow she became sick with Parco. I was on vacation and had a pet sitter. I was like, whats all this blood? I took her in and said, what going on, you gave me a full bill of health. I notice that this was a different doctor. She said but did you know that they had to be de-wormed every month? I'm like, thats what I pay you for the $ 200 bucks a visit. Then shes like, well she might die, I need to put her in the hospital for $600.00. I'm like crying having a panic attack and all. I ask another clerk to bring me a glass of red wine. I couldn't drink it. I called my son crying and he said mom listen to me, leave and come home. When the clerk came back in she said; have you made a decision about, which care you want to go with? She told me that if I didn't want hospital care, they could give me supportive out-patient care for $125.00 a day. Also, that they would treat her today and gave me this bill enclosed. I said nope! I need to go home, the clerk then, started saying, then let us give her a Convenia, or we can give her a SC Fluid for $50 bucks today. I walked out paid my bill at the counter, finding that they had over billed my account. I said no , re-check your prices. Then the clerk said that he's sorry but they took the credit card machine and had to figure it out himself. Then the clerk told me that I need to pick my dog up so that she would not spread parvo in the clinic. I said, I will not pick her up, I walked her in here and I will walk her out. What a freaking nightmare.”

“All the staff is amazingly compassionate and pleasant to deal with. Dr. Glicklin has been treating my 3 rescue refugee cats from Eastern Europe. He saved Caesar's life after diagnosing him with Hyperthyroidism and Triaditis. So far, his recommendations have resulted in my poor dying cat returning to life; he gained weight and regained his mighty fur. We go in for monthly checkups and blood work, and Dr. G is always attentive and very communicative.”
