“I’ve been here twice, both w friends. To get here, you can even search for “Getty Center Parking” on your maps app. Parking costs $25, but it’s $15 after 3:00 PM. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance. You’re allowed in within one hour of your designated time. Give yourself some time to get to the center; you’ll need to parking in a giant multi-floor garage where spaces are rather small (note the code for your area), and then take an elevator to the security line for the tram. There are bathrooms in this area and it’s open air. You can even see a nice sculpture here. You’re allowed to pack a little picnic and food items, even though there are at least 2 places where they sell food and drink inside. Some people have a little picnic on the greens, near the garden, where the grass lawn is perfect. Then, the tram comes every so often and shows you a great little panoramic view of LA and its hills. It’s very clean and has shaded windows. The main entrance has some stairs. Not sure about accessibility here. Then there are several buildings where you can see the art collections. There are elevators indoors and also map guides in multiple languages, including Spanish and Chinese. There’s also a Getty store when you first get inside. The botanical garden is wonderful / my fave, and the sculpture garden and catcus garden are also great. You could easily spend a day here wandering through everything. There are fountains and pools, and the garden has a little winding labryinth and all kinds of amazing blooms and rest areas. Getty has a villa in a separate location. The Getty Center can also be reached by public transportation. I’ll be back for sure. This is the perfect place to take new visitors to LA.”

“What can I say, this was just an incredible experience. There are some pieces in here that were just amazing to be within the presence of. Thr house is supposed to be "just as it was left by Weisman", and it really does look like it was lived in. Great care and deliberation have been taken in the decoration, placement, and thoughtfulness in the design and layout of this house, but also in it's preservation. If you have an opportunity to schedule a tour here, please do yourself a favor and take it. The docent was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed excited to be there, which made the tour a very pleasurable time, albeit moving a little quickly. I know they have other tours scheduled, sometimes back-to-back, but I really wish I would've had a _little_ more time to linger in some of the areas, as there's just so much to see (you could honestly spend an hour just appreciating each room, nonetheless the entire property). No photos allowed inside, but you can take them outdoor. Also, you park inside the property on the driveway, not on the street.”

“Its a cool house. but what is this. my friend, MLH, loves to go trick or treating here. Apparently her candy was not memorable which is what most halloween candy is like so ye. So that means it was good candy. I like the lexus in the driveway and the shrubberies surrounding the house... It gives it a nice touch. THank you for not demolishing the house. XOXO - PSA”

“This little museum was delightful. On the day we visited, there was a special display over two rooms, of Bob Baker's marionettes. The lady in the gift shop told us there would be a new display next month. In the front part of the museum are some really beautiful bronze statues, sculptures and paintings - all of which we loved. Each exhibit is accompanied by interesting background information. There's also a lovely gift shop. Admission to the museum is free.”

“What a gem! The gallery space is not large, but is filled with impactful pieces that will captivate you the moment you walk through the door. A gentleman was staffing the place and was super welcoming and knowledgable about the exhibit (Alphabets). He made the experience very enjoyable and informative. I highly recommend visiting this museum and supporting it. We loved every bit of it and definitely plan to return, especially when they have live music! Summary: parking: easy (private lot). Artwork: incredible (definitely have someone explain the pieces in detail, mind blowing!). Staff: welcoming and friendly. Museum: small, very clean, inviting, filled with a respect for all cultures. Worth a visit!”

“This is a small memorial hall consisting of two buildings + 1 cemetery. However, it is very worthwhile to come. The main reason is that the wonderful explanation of the guide makes you feel that you are in the right place. Opening starts at 12pm and ends at 4pm. Only open Friday-Sunday every week. Relatively niche. The first building I visited was the Workman house, led by the guide Judy. She was careful, full of enthusiasm, always smiling, and told me everything she knew, and let me have a good understanding of this building built in 1841. The exploration of historic buildings was responded to. She is really great, very professional and you can feel her genuine love for the building. Let me admire very much, this is definitely an excellent explainer. Every story in the house, she will tell the visitors one by one, very seriously. The next hour, I visited La Casa Nuevo, a building next to it. It is definitely an old building full of Spanish style. The specific year of construction should be around 1860. The house, its elegance and exquisite layout, let us see the architectural beauty of two centuries ago. Under Judy's delicate explanation, we all fully understood the story that happened at that time, and it was a very good visit. It's worth a visit.”

“This place is AMAZING!! So glad the city chose to preserve the first house of Whittier!! Everything is authentic with original furnishing. The ladies provide informative tours about The Old Ranch House! I can't believe they found an unused bar of Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap!!! When they raised the house from its foundation they found all sorts of historical items and one of them was soap!! Lots of door knobs and old grooming products! I just with they would have preserve the entire street!!! That would have been awesome!!”

Robert Irwin's Central Garden

Address: 1200 Getty Center Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90049, USA

Museum Park

“A welcome bonus when looking out from the Getty Center! Visitors are in for a visual treat to see the landscaping, as the garden captures the attention when viewed from the museum above! A creation of California artist Robert Irwin, which I think brings life to nature’s palette! Lawn crossing pathways lead to an irregular passage, crisscrossing a cascading stream. The finale downhill flow ends with a waterfall into a pond. Neatly cut bordered sidewalks guide visitors down into circle paths at the pond. Down here is a garden labyrinth maze, set upon a small lily pad pool with ducks surrounding it. Also, an obvious attraction near the pond are the large trellis-tree bougainvillea. I’ve not usually seen such form for a plant so scattered! Looking back up at the Getty Center from the garden reveals the exquisite nature of the museum and research structures. The earth tone travertine exterior blends nicely with the hills!”

Madame Tussauds Hollywood

Address: 6933 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, USA

“A must do if you're visiting Hollywood. It's fun to walk around the exhibitions. The whole place is interactive so you can play around and get some good pictures. The added little accessories here and there to make it extra fun. You can feel part of the movie for a minute. I think that was my favorite part, the movie exhibition. And well pretty much every celebrity wax figure look pretty real.”

It’s $20 per person at the door…cash only so hit the ATM before you get there to avoid any issues. Parking is in the street. Not a problem. The tour was almost 2 hours long. Lots to see and you get a little insight into an eccentric mind. It’s not a place you will return to once a year but certainly should do once.”

“I inherited two oil on wood paintings from my grandmother that were in terrible shape. Honestly so bad, I was embarrassed to bring them in. Hayk spent time carefully explaining the process and the time line. I have the first one back and it looks like a museum piece. I am over the moon! Five enthusiastic stars.”
