Harter Park

Address: Via Colinita, Via La Paloma, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, USA

Park

“Great park if you like to hike amongst lush vegetation. The Siena trail is a loop below the Miraleste Plaza. It’s possible to extend the hike either via Frascati, Lorraine and Canada or even Cotilinita trails. The Siena loop takes about 10 minutes. Nice ocean views included. Update in february 2019 Lush vegetation composed of plants that are NATIVE to southern CA. Big thank you to the conservatory employees and volunteers! Ping me for any questions. Feel free to hit the Like button if my review has been useful for you. Thank you!”

Agua Amarga Reserve

Address: Posey Way, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, USA

Park

“Pleasant nature trail through the quiet Reserve. There are multiple entries via local neighborhoods (see map), with neighborhood street parking. Fairly short trail with spectacular ocean view along the way. There are a couple of a little steeper slopes and some uneven roads, so I’d recommend wearing hiking shoes or at least something not slippery and pay attention while walking. Generally wide trail with very few people, but there are a few narrow spots so be a nice neighbor, then everyone would be happy.”

Abalone Cove Reserve

Address: 5970 Palos Verdes Dr S, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, USA

“A beautiful little park set along the turbulent coastline of Palos Verdes. Squirrels are everywhere, make sure NOT to feed them! Otherwise the views are quiet and relaxing, and it's free to park there for the first 30 minutes ($6 from 30 min to 2 hrs). Worth it for a nice little picnic lunch during a stressful day. :)”

Alta Vicente Reserve

Park

“This is by far my second rated hiking spot in California and the first place Calabasas. This place has the relaxing view of the tones of the ocean and on top of that the place is very well kept up by means of trash and parking lot access. If you want a beautiful photo of the view on the top portion I would suggest a 360 photo. The nature walk the way down the hill toward the biloing trees at the end is calming and breath taking experience for me and probably you as well. Now there is one lil scene I thought was lovely was the bird house in the trees at the final destination took a photo of it and it came out perfect.”

Agua Amarga Reserve

Address: Kings Harbor Dr, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, USA

Park

“Beautiful place for a hike, but be warned that it is a strenuous one. there is a steep hill that the trail is on that is very dangerous for people who don’t take it slow. I’m surprised that this is allowed but all in all it has great views. I wish the local government would clean up the Castor Bean plants along the trail, (they are known as one of the most poisonous plants), and obviously I would rather not be brushing up against them.”

Ocean Trails Reserve

Address: 5970 Palos Verdes Dr S, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, USA

Park

“The trails here are absolutely stunning at day break. The trails range in difficulty but nothing too crazy. I come here at least 3 times a week to hike up some crazy steps and grab some much needed views. The only down side is that you have to walk through the trump golf course to get to them. Free parking and pleasant enough people around. If you're looking for a place to hike solo this is it. No weirdos or sketchy people around and everyone that you pass are friendly enough. Still... that being said always stay alert of your surroundings just in case.”
