She started competing and won many local, national and international major competitions starting at age 10. Now she's in high school and we have moved out of state. Val has been teaching her through Zoom lessons and in person whenever we return LA. Val sets goals for his students and pushes them to achieve their highest potential. He is very dedicated and always does what's best for his students. Outside his teaching he has been a great mentor to my daughter for goal settings in general. “As soon as you walk in the door of this preschool you AND your child are greeted with genuine warmth by the staff. The facility is cheerful and engaging, making me jealous of my daughters as they run through the rooms, interacting with the toys and models that are all aligned with the philosophy created by Maria Montessori. The administration has done a really good job informing parents on the meaning of a Montessori education by explaining (both through posted literature and verbally) how the emphasis on hands-on activities and the tools used in the process make this type of schooling different. Parents are also educated on how to continue to practice it with our children at home. The director goes out of her way to create community between the students in and outside of school, when families are encouraged to come together for fun and educational events. This school is a special place, the love the staff have for what they do is palpable, you can feel it in the way that both the children and their parents walk around with a sense of ease and happiness. ”

“My son has been attending Montessori of Calabasas for about six months now. He is in the 2 year old program and absolutely loves it. Since attending the school he has improved on both his speaking ability and overall comprehension. When I pick him up after school he does not want to leave and is eager to show me all of the new projects he is working on. I sometimes feel so embarrassed.....he likes school better than home! Matching the experience for my son is the overall cleanliness of the facility and professional behavior of the staff. The director, Donna, does a wonderful job organizing the weekly routines for the children, as well as bringing in extra-curricular activities like musicians, storytellers, characters, and a variety of other shows. I would say the biggest plus for me is that I do not feel like this is just a daycare facility for my son, it is like a second home. My son is given individual attention according to his needs and I am always kept informed. He is spending up to 10 hours a day there at times and I feel very comfortable and confident that he is not only happy, but learning and laughing too.”
