“I love this school! Sadly, after three years of learning and meeting new people... I had to leave... I loved this school! I'm in fourth grade right now and I still miss the school, AND my friends... Luckily, my stepsister goes to that school, so she can give me any updates! Who ever is still in Leo G Elementary School, please tell the staff, principal, anyone you see, tell them that I said "hi" and that I miss everyone in that school. I had lots of fun experiences-sometimes bad ones, but either way, that school has the all of the love from my heart... Thank you for spending your time reading this, as it means a lot to me because I love that school so, so, much! Thank you so much! Bye! ♥”

“I go t this school and i love it! I just don't like the food there but they do make good stuff like French toast! I also love the book fair we have here! But i just don't like how some boys here can be rude to me....in a fun way. I love the teachers too! But i don't know how in some of the tress they say there are stuff like well will remember *name here * are the graves? I just went to this school so i don't really know alot of these things that go on”

“I am very happy with my choice to entrust South High School with my son's high school education. We live in Frontier High School's area but we made a specific decision to send our son to South. He has consistently received the suppport he needed to be successful, develop self-esteem, be academically and socially challenged, and obtain admission to the UCLA School of Engineering! The faculty and staff really care about the students and treat them as individuals . From the Principal (Connie Grumling) to the Director of Guidance (Irene Ramey), to the teachers, campus security and custodial staff, Rebel pride is effectual throughout the campus! You will be hard-pressed to find any graffiti. The MS3 academy is awesome, and the help provided to assist students with college admission requirements via Catalina Mendiola is second to none! Because of the awesome programs available, my son was able to participate in several mentoring programs, earned scholarships and a summer internship with Aera Energy! The only reason this review is not 5 stars is the school could stand to improve in notifying students earlier of various types of extra-curricular trips and activities as there have been times when I was notified the day before or the day of such an event. (I recognize some of this responsibility rests with my son dropping the ball and other times staff doing so.) If you are looking for a diverse student body, caring staff, and varied curricula for your child, I highly recommend South High School! I encourage you to meet with the faculty as we did before enrolling our child, get involved with the school and your child's education, and avail yourself of what the school has to offer. Take time to show appreciation for the faculty and staff; drop of a dozen donuts or some coffee, volunteer or just take the time to say, "Thank you". Thank you South High for all that you've done and will continue to do for our most precious resource - our children! With an Attitude of Gratitude , Mark Francisco”
