(August 15, 2017, 1:48 pm)Leaving your parent with strangers is one of the hardest thing you will do. A Home of Our Own was an incredible transition for my Mom. They truly were an answer to my prayers! The Director is great to work with and the staff cares for and helps your parent during their last years. Mom was there for several years and always had a smile on her face. They have delicious meals and take their guests out to the porch to enjoy the incredible garden/fountain/and front yard. The place was always clean and cheerful. Remember though...you are your parents best advocate! Be involved...love and nurture them to the end... they deserve it.
(June 1, 2016, 11:49 pm)My great grandmother stays here and she absolutely loves it. When you visit, it's not just about her, but it's about including the family to have a good time visiting. All of the ladies that stay here are very lovely and kind and seem to get along together very well.
