“Totally awesome, super fast response time! Carbon monoxide detector went off and they came along with the police and an ambulance as my wife was ill from it all. They gave teddy bears to the kids and the captain was super awesome talke with the kids joking, answering questions and high fiving them. They also gave us all bottled water. Everyone was massively helpful and kind. Aaron was the most awseome captain interacting with the kids. A phoenix fire truck came and Nick was another great captain I remember. Thanks guys. Hope i never need to call you again but glad you were there when i needed you!”

“A very belated THANK YOU to the men of Station 264, Gold Canyon. On March 23, 2018 I blacked out in our small 1/2 bath. 9-1-1 was called and the EMT's and Firemen were at our residence in Montesa at Gold Canyon, within minutes - although it seemed like SECONDS. Actually at this point it was almost comical - I'm laying half in & half out out the small room surrounded by six 6ft., 240 pound burly guys!!! (Oh to be single and 50 years younger!) Everyone one of them was compassionate and their demeanor was very calming to my husband - I was mostly enjoying the view except for my leg that was in a very unnatural position. The only discussion we had was they were going to lift me and transport in a canvas 'hammock'. I told them I wanted a backboard - they tried to explain their position but I knew I wouldn't be able to control my leg if the 'hammock' shifted so I repeated my preference. One of the firemen said, "Let the lady have what she wants" - my husband said he had to be the one who was married. Backboard came in - loaded me on and into the ambulance. Turns out this wasn't your every day broken leg and it's been quite a journey since then. I owe a very belated THANK YOU to these men for their compassion, their expertise and their humor,”

“The Best location for serving the citizens of western maricopa county. This station is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. always ready for when the call goes out. Sine opening the response times to fire in dreaming summit have dropped from 10 to 15 minutes down to 3 or 4 minutes. The entire area is better protected with state of the art equipment, new apparatus, some of the best trained firefighters and paramedics work out of this station. Our sister station is at cotton and oilve covering cortessa, white tank foothills and all of waddell. The crew members live in these areas as well as protect them. they are invested in the community on a personal level and from a work level. we want everyone to be safe, happy and have fun.”

“I was taking my dog for a late night stroll, when I saw another dog walker signal to a fire truck and point down the road. I hesitated to walk back because they were along my route home, but I was happy to see them responding quickly to the person’s call about someone in the bushes along Grand Ave. possibly needing assistance (I’m assuming). When they checked the first bush and found a chair, they didn’t pass it off as the concerned persons call being unfounded, but instead, continued their search and had a conversation with the person as a human-being once they found them. They were also wearing PPE the whole time. As a FQ resident, I am so greatly appreciative of the department being so close and responding so quickly. I know our neighborhood is on the three-way border of gentrified, artsy, and those in desperate poverty and I thank you for serving the needs of such a diverse neighborhood. Continue to treat people like humans as I witnessed tonight! Resist the temptation to be jaded by late night calls such as this, and continue to be shining examples for us all through your dignified service towards all you serve. Thank you for taking the risks you take, doing what you do in service of us.”
