Pretty much everything: (1) the studio itself evokes relaxation and calm because it's beautifully elegant in its simplicity and minimalism; (2) the variety of types of yoga and experience that the instructors bring is excellent; (3) the variety and scheduled times of the 60 minute classes suits my husband and myself; (4) the owner, Nicole, is not only an experienced yogi, she's gentle and kind and welcoming; and (5) we LOVE the diversity of students—all ages, all athletic (or in my case, non-athletic) levels, all shapes and sizes, all ethnicities, and a good balance of men and women. “I've been learning Pilates from Geneviève and Stevie at the Body Fundamentals studio for nearly ten years now and plan to continue for many years to come. I initially came to the studio after having surgery and they skillfully helped me regain my strength and balance so that now I am able take private or semi private lessons at least once, sometimes twice a week and feel the progress every session! Using their expertise and extensive training they instill confidence, promote safety, and provide careful personalized attention and instruction while using the equipment and working on the mat. They have taught me how to access the muscles that develop and maintain core strength, proper body mechanics, balance and alignment. Thanks to Body Fundamentals, movement has become a key component to my overall health and well being. I love the peaceful atmosphere, the privacy of the studio and most of all Geneviève and Stevie! “I love this place!! I am an older person (59), have a bit of weight to lose (70 pounds) and have had both knees replaced. Everyone is so welcoming and the trainers are wonderful and keep an eye on me so they can modify the exercises - I don't even have to ask they are so watchful - and they always provide encouragement! The energy is very motivating and so are the other folks who attend. They partner you up (and frequently I'm partnered with my daughter) and all my teammates have been so sweet and encouraging. If you are an older person who is just starting off - don't hesitate to join F45. Seriously, just give it a try...I say this will all honesty, I never liked working out, but the energy, support, camaraderie, and quick workout - I actually look forward to going now - and I feel so accomplished when I'm done! Plus they give you these fabulous cold damp eucalyptus at the end - that alone is worth it!!”
