“Plenty of street parking available, takes cash and card and serves food during the day and Tea till close. There are some cool seats in the windows sills, but otherwise a few two-tops line the walls with some comfy chairs to complement them. The music is chill and the ambience is great! And what a unique place...where else will give you free tea for simply picking up some trash from Grand Ave? It's this kind of stuff that's lacking in this world! Plus, the tea is DELICIOUS and thoughtfully steeped/brewed. There is a great selection available on the boards, but they also have a "build your own tea" area with lots of cool options to choose from. Not a tea expert? Totally fine, just ask all the questions you want, as the staff is friendly and ready to help. Plus, they're open late on weekends! Really dig this cool and unique space both for their tea and food offerings as well as the creativity and love for the community. Please swing by when you're in the area--definitely recommended! Just wanted to come back here and add that today I had the frittata with arugula salad and "seedy toast" and it was delicious!”

“Remember that tv show from the 70's called "Alice"? The diner from that show was about a half mile from where my family and I stayed in Phoenix. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and excellent service from the friendly staff at Mel's Diner. The walls are lined with coffee mugs signed by guests and the menus feature photos of the cast. Fun visit and good old fashioned diner food. The biscuits and gravy are just okay. Hash browns could be crispier. Chicken fried steak and corned beef hash were excellent as well as the coffee. The service is great. Would visit again!”

“Supper Local Business & Shop Small! Great Finds. I was able to score two Carhartt sweaters for $20 each! I decided to check out the small shops that fill this corner of the plaza. (No, they're not apartments) saw the "Vintage" sign and searched through a few of the racks. It wasn't long before I found the Carhartt gear. As someone who is currently remodeling a home, I wanted to some quality work gear at a discounted rate. Problem Solved! The owner was laid back and respectful. He'll give you a good deal and will even buy or trade with with you. Definitely coming back to score some more finds.”

The food was delicious with a mix of Mexican and Spanish cuisine. We had the paella and mole chicken wings, both very good. Fushicho Daiko Dojo has been a presence in Phoenix since the 1990s, and has contributed to public events like the Phoenix Matsuri, the Asian Arts Festival, the Fiesta Bowl Parade, and the Phoenix Half Marathon for many years. Eileen Sensei organizes travel trips with students to Japan on alternate years, so that students can experience classes with Japanese taiko teachers, as well as some of the culture and beauty of Japan. She also maintains strong connections to the wider taiko community in Japan and in the US, encouraging students to attend special workshops by visiting taiko performers and teachers.”
