“Beautiful trail for a morning or evening walk. They have a timed sprinkler system and Chiko loves running through them. The park and walking path is nicely kept. There’s no enforcement for people with unleashed dogs, which is the only disappointing factor. Overall, great place!”

“The Gilbert Art Walk is an amazing place to spend a Sat morning on the first and third Sat Oct-March. The wide variety of artist they have there is like no other place in AZ. “We went to attend a little dance exhibition for our granddaughter that was at the park. We don't live in the area. What a fabulous event! Elf on the twelfth was so fun. Large park area for the kids to play, pizza food truck and free popcorn while watching Elf on the outdoor screen. Well organized and all around a great event.”

“You are looking for a lovely place to have a picnic or take the kids for an afternoon then you have come to the right park. Freestone Park not only has a pond for fishing that is stocked with most game fish you could possibly want to catch, but also three playgrounds, a very beautiful waterfall setting which is great for pictures, plenty of ducks to feed, and on the weekends they have a miniature carnival setup including a train that circles the park, carousel, and other fun rides for children. And if you're peckish on the weekends they also have food available at a concession stand. In other sections of the park there are batting cages, baseball fields, and plenty of manicured green grass to run around. This park truly has it all. I take my niece there and she absolutely loves it every single time.”

“Such an amazing place! Lot’s of paved walking paths and areas off path too. The areas go all around the lake and it’s so beautiful! There is a lot of wildlife that I saw today in the way of birds, bunnies, rabbits, and squirrels. Quite a few bees, dragonflies and butterflies too! I can imagine in the Springtime the plants are gorgeous! It was still really pretty today even with many plants dried out. There are many varieties of trees that are so beautiful this time of year. This place is a real treasure. It’s a great place for picnics on the lawn or in the covered areas. There are playground areas for the kiddos. I’ve been told the fishing is good here too. The Rotary Observatory is going to be visited on my next visit!”

“Beautiful location! The trees in this area gives people wonderful shade and has access to the river too plus a neat playground. Also good walking trail around the park too. I would give them a 4.9 stars because their basketball hoop is probably one of the worst maintained hoop I have seen. But a wonderful place for a cookout, they also have the biggest outdoor grill I have seen in a park around these parts. It looked like you could cook an entire pig on it.”
