“This review goes exclusively for the Workforce Development Department. I went to school for 6 months at Jefferson State in the Medical Assistant program in 2019. Apparently, my teacher had turned in that I had too many absences; therefore, I was never awarded my certificate of completion 2 years ago, and I had NO IDEA. Even after the instructor made me believe that is was okay to miss the last class (and thankfully, I still had the email to prove it) she marked that absence, and it took me over the days we were allowed to miss. MRS. COKER in the Workforce Education Department is a GOD SEND!! She listened to me cry and freak out for almost 30 minutes (so embarrassing, but I was understandably upset) and she had me write a grievance email and she brought it straight to the director & had the previous decision overturned! I got my certificate of completion yesterday! Mrs. Coker, THANK YOU. And thank you to the Director of the Workforce Development Department for listening to what I had to say and BELIEVING me. You have no idea how much that meant to me!”

“An excellent school. Clean, friendly, professional environment. My Only problem, along with MANY OTHERS, Ms. G. She taught chemistry & enjoyed "hearing herself talk ". Apparently she was so very "stacked"with degrees, she wanted to make everyone suffer by intentionally making the course harder than it needed to be. I saw her as a trickster more so than a teacher. I have never met a teacher who wanted students to fail as much as she did. A little control went WAY too far for her. Other than her, it was all knuckling down studying hard to be the best registered nurse I could be. Thank you Jeff State for being a true Community College with excellence, integrity and a willingness to listen to students when the need arises. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was well prepared for the job I loved.”

As a student who has attended this academy for more than 3 years here, I would strongly recommend that anyone who is remotely interested in math at all or struggling at school attend at least one of the classes here for their own self benefit. “Not sure what walter is referring to, but I have been flying here for a few months and the experience is exceptional. This is my third flight school and by far the best. Yes, instructor availability is limited, but thats every flight school due to pilot shortage. In regards to airworthiness of their planes, once again this is my third flight school and by far they have the most well maintained planes. Planes are not cars, they do break. A no start condition is not a major issue as all planes used for flight instruction must be checked every 100 hours, safety is a non issue here. Pricing is transparent. Ground instruction is unrefundable, you are paying for knowledge and yes that knowledge is transferrable as it does not have to be documented in your flight book, all you have to do is remember it. If you are crying because you were charged hourly for flight school you should rethink your PPL because it is not cheap. I fly with Greg who is very very busy yet he makes time to provide exceptional ground and flight instruction. Ive flown with about 6 cfi's and his teaching methods are some of the best. He lets you fly so you learn, hes not control happy. If a company is having phone problems and they reach out to you via an alternate communication method, kudos to them. All their FIs have cards with their numbers on them and they are easy to contact. Additionally we have these things now called cars. They enable you to drive places such as flight school so you can ask questions directly. As a student of aviation it is your responsibility you come prepared for your flights with a rudimentary knowledge of what you need to work on. Additionally your first few flights focus on straight and level operation of the plane with basic manuaevers, not much of an outline there. Becoming a pilot is not easy and takes work outside of flying and flight school. Thats why we have a pilot shortage, people are into instant gratification. Aviation does not work that way.”
