They took time to explain the road and everything so we managed to get there on time, it was so nice of them. We also took 2 space cakes which were absolutely amazing (especially the 80 mg one 🥰) and made the ride home so much more enjoyable. “The best experience! The best time! We rented a boat from Boats4rent online, months before our trip. Initially I rented from another location and they were graciously able to change our reservation to the Nassaukade location. We arrived early with our sandwiches, drinks and umbrella (that, thankfully we didn’t need) and were met by the awesome host who told us all the rules and sent us on our way. It is really wonderful that this boat rental exists. You certainly cannot have this experience for a more reasonable price. I wanted to go by the house where I lived years ago, but was unable to because the last bridge was just 1” too low for the boat to go under, dang it! Although we went off of the advised route, we were able to safely traverse the canals of Amsterdam. It was the perfect day, just the threat of rain with only a small sprinkling for less than 10 minutes. The whole perspective of Amsterdam changes from a boat on a canal. It’s magical. You don’t have to worry about bicycles, haha! There are so many smaller canals that are so lovely to see that you normally wouldn’t be able to with the big tour boats. There is nothing like piloting your own boat in Amsterdam. It’s the greatest!!! There is nothing like being the master of your own destiny!”

“Quite possibly the best breakfast I've had in Amsterdam. I personally prefer the New York option, the buttermilk pancakes were out of this world. They were really soft and other items in the dish really complimented it very well. If you like a bit of sweet and savoury for your breakfast then I highly recommend this option. I did not enjoy the eggs Benedict California option it was almost the same price but the quantity didn't seem to match other dishes, maybe it's my bias after having the New York however the chicken and waffles were also very good, not too spicy and just enough to add to the flavour. The English breakfast on the other hand was also a good and safe option if you are not comfortable with the other options. There were enough seating options and quite unique in my opinion. It gave me good cozy coffee shop vibes. I would 100% come back for another plate of the new york breakfast.”

“Nice hotel overall. It is a heritage building offering beautiful character and yes the hallways are tiny so if you have lots of luggage it's a bit of a workout. My room and bathroom were very modern and clean. I was located on an upper floor at the end of the hall so couldn't hear other guests. The room offered nice views of the cute neighbourhood and the bed was comfortable. Hotel is close to great coffee, several tram lines and Vondelpark but still offers peace and quiet. I thought it was good value even with the city tax.”

Total cost between 30-40 euro per person including drinks and 3 desserts is quite good.”
