Prosperity Place

“A very attractive addition to the historic Sandwich neighborhood. Developed by the Port Authority of Windsor, the outdoor marine museum was recently opened with trails, art installations and murals depicting the history of Sandwich town. The area now is quite impressive and there is adequate lighting to walk around the park even at nights. Definitely check this quiet spot out next time you walk by there. Very informative and makes us cherish the value of the historical neighborhood. The park is marked by a giant anchor that is installed facing Sandwich Street.”

“We had a great time! We got to the 50’s diner 20 min before close so I felt awful we were going to order, but the lady helping us was great! The grilled cheese and French fries were so good. Excellent portions. $23 for 2 adults and a 12 yr old to look at the cars. (Excellent price to be honest) not only were the displays great to look at, the gentleman working the victrola music boxes, let my son use it! The history was amazing to see. The train set was fun to watch with all the detail”

If you want to learn about the history of your town and have your children check out these wonderful machines and ways of life from a bygone time, I highly suggest you make a visit and even a donation for the Tecumseh Historical Society to expand.
