“Attened open air weekend on a Sunday. Wonderful atmosphere. My kids played the games and had fun with the attendants. Enjoyed a glass of wine at one of the restaurants however they closed at 6. I thought for long weekend they may have extended hours. But overall nice evening out!”

“First time at the Pepper Cat, we've been to the Salty Dog many times. The atmosphere is more upscale and is more tailored to couples on an evening out. We chose the upper level and had a fantastic waitress take care of us. Full of energy and happy to be there taking care of us. We were with another couple and chose the warm herbed focaccia loaf and watermelon salad as appetizers. For the entrees we decided on the tomahawk steak dinner for two for us guys and the girls each got chicken Lafontaine. The meals were fantastic. We all tried a bit of each other's meal. The accompaniments we're also excellent and they all went well with the drinks we chose. Everyone there was happy and had a good sense of humour which adds to the overall evening. A great place to have a dinner with good friends or just your significant other and then a nice stroll in the historic and beautiful downtown Amherstburg. We'll be back!!”

“Royal Sushi House has become one of our staples for take out. Dining in is an equally delicious experience. The booths are comfortable and cozy. I loved watching the sushi boats float by throughout dinner. We always ask for their suggestions and have always been impressed. Their sushi is fresh and fabulous. The house sauce and spicy sauce are so good we finally had to take some home. I would highly recommended Royal Sushi House!”

“My husband and I spent a week at Bondy House in August. We loved it so much we have booked another three nights just after Christmas. Our hosts Carolyn and Merv made us feel very welcome. Breakfast began with fresh fruit and yogurt, croisants hot out of the oven, coffee, tea and juice. Our mains included eggs our way along with different bacon types and was served with a prettily designed fresh tomato display. Toast and cereal rounded it out. Our room had an extremely comfortable queen size bed and a beautiful ensuite shower. This was our base and we walked all over the area, coming back for tea and a rest before heading out again. Absolutely perfect spot right downtown across from the waterfront.”

“The wait was worth it!! Having a walk-in schedule can be difficult to be seen the moment your pet needs care. It took me a couple of days but the front desk staff gave me places that could get my dog in if it was an emergency. My dog was not in an emergency situation so I waited a few hours and called in to check if they could get my dog seen for his annual appointment. The staff was courteous and accommodating in person and on the phone even when having to turn patients away due to being over booked. I appreciate the all the staff and their dedication to pets of all kinds. The veterinarian that saw my dog was great and I appreciate all the time she took to answer my questions. I am thankful for this place and the staff that make this office my first choice!! My advise is be patient and be flexible!!”

“Great place to live! We have resided for a few years in this building. The management team is fantastic! Realstar would have to look far and wide to find anyone as competent and friendly as the managers Carolyn and Lorenz. COVID has made life a tad difficult for all in the community, but the managers have done their best to make our home safe and secure without making us feel that our freedoms have been restricted. Mind you, we will be happy to see life return to normal so we can once again enjoy the social activities that usually are a part of life in our building we like to call home. The residents are friendly, quiet and respectful of one another and the apartment building is kept well maintained and comfortable. Anyone fortunate enough to rent an apartment in this building will not regret the decision to do so. Call me a satisfied tenant.. S. E. Byrnes”

“I absolutely adore this little coffee shop and I am so glad that it opened in Amherstburg. I have not been there since the Stay at Home order but see that treats and coffee are available for carry out daily. Great place to grab a treat before heading to a bench to take in the beauty of the park and the serenity of the Detroit River. I bring all of my out of town guests here and look forward to doing so again in the future.”

The staff are friendly and generally quite knowledgeable about the building, its history, and the town of Amherstburg. I would make sure to look into what events they are having if you stop by because they have a wide variety! Also, their tinware is better made than anywhere else I've seen and also much more affordable than other places.”

It was a great time taking in the "River of Lights Festival" and finished off with dinner at Lot10. A++ all the way around. What's not to like about Amherstburg and we are from Windsor.
