I fully support buying local and I think everyone who works here are very helpful but I will no longer purchase my paint or deck stain from them. I bought a can of deck stain (not cheap) in October. I opened it and it needed to me mixed; my paint stick wasn’t doing it. They said they were unable to mix it since I had opened it. I call Home Depot and they were happy to mix it for me even though I didn’t purchase from them. It is frustrating that I had to drive to Janesville to get the customer service needed from a big company that doesn’t support my community.

I still love the local hardware store but I’m very disappointed.

I went in to get new license plate screws. Turns out my car needs special ones (of course) and I was having trouble finding it. The man who helped me scoured the shelves and even went out to my car with me IN THE RAIN to see if it was finally the right fit. Excellent customer service every time.
