When someone was parked and sleeping in their car on my driveway, I called the sheriff's office. They promptly sent a deputy who I believe even helped the young man get fuel. Once again, professional and helpful all the way around. Thank you.

A welcome example of "the policeman is your friend". We are the parents of a mentally ill son who has been stable for 20 years, taking his medications, and being well behaved. However as parents one always worries. We were planning on being out of the country for a period of time and called the police department to see what could be done if they have to interact with him. I spoke to one of the deputies who did know him and said that he has had interactions with our son and it was easily addressed. The deputy understood the situation and assured us that they were aware of him and would continue addressing the needs of a member of the community in a safe manner. Thank you deputy.
