Oakwood Endodontics: Spencer Bjarnason DMD

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Oakwood Endodontics due to a different canal morphology known as “Dens in Dente” in canine tooth number 6, and I was hoping for an alternative non-invasive conservative approach to save the natural tooth instead of the proposed treatment from a previous specialist who recommended extraction. I personally contacted the office because, after some research, I found out that Dr. Spencer W. Bjarnason was board certified and a member of the American Association of Endodontists, using advanced technology like CBCT in 3D.

Dr. Bjarnason successfully performed a procedure to clean and fill the canal system using the Gentle Wave advanced technology, with no complications during the treatment completed over two appointments. The staff and Dr. Bjarnason were kind and professional; he listened very well to my specific issues and answered all my questions or concerns.

A special touch was the facility, with the office featuring a clear glass wall that allowed relaxation while looking at the mature trees. Overall, it was an enjoyable five-star experience, and I would highly recommend Dr. Bjarnason to family and friends for their endodontic needs.

I was having a lot of tooth pain that was going on for several weeks and I had a hard time to find right dentist to fix my teeth. Finally I found a dentist I can trust. Doctor Spencer Bjarnason agreed to see me same day I called him, and he performed a root canal and made my pain go away on the same day . He called next day and ask how I’m feeling . I knew this is the right doctor for me and for my entire family. I highly recommend him if anyone looking for honest and professional dentist.

Dr. Bjarnason came highly recommended by my dentist and I'm so glad I went to see him. Melanie greeted me upon arrival and made me feel welcomed and comfortable (even though I was so nervous). Dr. B evaluated me for a root canal and since he had a cancellation that afternoon he did it right away. He was gentle and kind and explained what he was doing at all times. The entire procedure was almost completely pain free. Nobody wants to have to go to see an Endodontist but I can tell you it was not bad at all. He even called me the next day to be sure I was doing well. Thank you for taking good care of me.

Me and my family are new to Georgetown and I was referred to Dr. Bjarnason to do a root canal and put a crown on. My visit with him was excellent and his staff was amazing. After the root canal he put my crown on and told me that the cement he was using was temporary and to go see my regular dentist to have him put the crown on permanent with permanent cement. He took me in short notice as I was scheduled to travel later that evening and needed my root canal done before I got on a plane.
Well unfortunately I did not get in to my regular dentist for the permanent cement because I had been traveling. So fast forward to today a couple months later. My crown came off which was my fault for not getting it permanently on by my other dentist. I called Dr. Bjarnason who gave me his cell number in case of an emergency after my root canal. He did not have to see me on a Saturday but I told him I was flying out again today and if he could I would appreciate it. Dr. Bjarnason took time away from his family and met me at his office to put my crown back on. This level of service to his patient was just way beyond amazing and appreciated. I can't recommend him enough for his great work on my tooth and helping me in need. Oh and the root canal was a painless and easy process with him. Thank you again Dr. Bjarnason for the amazing help.

Dr. Bjarnason and his staff are amazing! I had come into the office miserable with a toothache. I had been to my dentist earlier in the day, but she couldn't find anything wrong, so she recommended I find an endodontist that had a machine that could take a 3D image. The office staff were compassionate and very friendly. Within minutes of sitting in the chair. Dr. B had found that I needed a root canal. I was lucky that he had an opening available that day. They provided me with headphones that played relaxing sounds which distracted me from the drilling and unpleasant sounds. After removing 2 necrotic roots and draining a sinus infection that had resulted from my bad tooth, I was pain free, including the headache I'd had for a week! I honestly hope I never have to go back to their office for another root canal, but if I ever need a great endodontist, I will return to Dr. Bjarnason.
