First Presbyterian Church of Austin

Only had limited interaction here with a funeral of a family member. The pastor was kind and welcoming with words to soothe your heart. The building was beautiful and spacious. Parking lot was huge but this is Austin so it may not be big enough. If their weekly religious service is anything like their funeral services I would attend every week. Plus the stain glass along with the history of this church is enough to warrant a visit.

Very lovely church with two very nice female pastors. A very appropriate service for an a student of mine. I will miss him.

Very friendly and accepting congregation. Staff is wonderful, caring and the sermons are excellent.

This multi-generational church is welcoming to all. There are many opportunities for fellowship among all levels of the congregation. Members participate regularly in mission trips both local and far. The two Sunday services let members choose between a more contemporary worship, with a semi-improvisational praise band, and a more traditional worship with a full choir and exceptional organist/pianist.

Many people pass this church by admiring the beautiful stained glass windows without realizing the "real" church is inside. 8:45 contemporary service has fantastic music featuring two of the best jazz musicians in Austin.
