(August 26, 2018, 10:08 pm)$30 for an hour body/foot massage and people are expecting it to be a Four Seasons spa. Sthu. If you tip them $15 (which is appropriate for someone having to massage all your bits that may not be "well-maintained"), it comes out to $45/hr which is still a bargain. I got lucky my therapist was bomb! Otherwise, it is tough when they don't speak English.. just signal and tell them it hurts so they can back off with the pressure. It's not rocket science.

I'm 6'9" (205cm) and weigh 245lbs (111kg) so it's difficult for me to keep good posture (imagine dining out in a plastic kiddie chair and kiddie table and then driving home in a smart car while sitting in a booster seat). I'm prone to getting deep tissue knots in my neck, shoulders, and back, so my favorite massage is deep tissue (hard pressure). The first time I got a massage was with Tina. She's half my size and much older but don't let that fool you because she has found and rubbed out every knot-- every time. In fact, I've been here three times and have picked her every single time.
If you're like me and need a massage to rub out the knots, book with Tina.
I feel healed every time I leave Family Foot Relax. When the knots come back, so do I. The first massage kept the knots away for two weeks, the second massage three weeks, the third massage a month. It has now been five weeks since my third massage and a knot developed in my neck and then shoulder over the last couple of days. I plan to go for my fourth massage this Sunday.

(December 16, 2017, 10:28 am)123 has become one of my favorite 'foot relax' places in Chinatown. They offer foot, body and combo massage packages. Their pricing is good and they even offer coffee, water, candies in the waiting area.
Usually both male and female therapists are available, so just state your preference at the booking desk. The staff have always been courteous and professional. However, do realize that often the therapist speaks only a little English, so communicate simple things like 'harder' or 'more gentle'; but do so with basic words and gestures.
The massages from each therapist are unique - but in my experience, they are relaxing, Swedish style massage.They are NOT advanced deep tissue, trigger point, therapeutic massage.
The building is spacious and clean. I like that the massage area includes private rooms that have a full closing door (not just a curtain) for body and combo massage packages.
For those of you unfamiliar with these businesses, it is appropriate to tip the massuesse $10-15 for a one hour massage. So do come prepared with 5 and 10 dollar bills. Normally payment for the massage - and tip - are made after the massage is completed.
