My son loves it! We have noticed a tremendous difference in his confidence, hand and eye coordination, his overall positive disposition, and manners. We highly recommend this instructor.
Later post, my son still loving it!

Master Lynn is a highly qualified martial artist and a great instructor. His background covers numerous arts allowing him to teach from many points of view with great understanding.
I have been involved in martial arts for 18 years and retired in Ft Worth. The Hidden Sword system is authentic and precise while being a very laid back atmosphere.
Being 65 and having had many injuries and surgeries, I was afraid my martial arts career was over.
I feel at home after just three classes!

We are so pleased we enrolled our son in the Modern Arnis class. Mark is a great teacher and always positive and patient with his teaching and students. He often provides feedback and updates on how our son's progressing. Our son really enjoys the class and welcoming environment to learn a new skill in.

My son and I have been taking classes under Mark Lynn in the Modern Arnis classes for about 8 years. We started in the family class, which is awesome cause it gives you an opportunity to take classes with your kids. Neither my son or I were natural to martial arts, but we are fortunate in that Mark is extremely patient and good with both adults and kids. The fact that its at the Roanoke Rec Center is also very convenient since we can get some exercise before classes. I've also noticed that many of the other parents take advantage of the facilities while their kids take classes. A few other relevant items regarding hidden sword: 1) addition to the arnis classes, there is also american karate (haven't taken these), 2) in checking around keller, nrh, Roanoke, pricing seems very reasonable (plus rec center others discount is roanokevresident), 3) arnis classes do not require uniforms but american karate does.

My son has been apart of this karate class since 2017 and he enjoys learning new forms and being part of a group who challenges one another and helps each other to become better students. Mr. Lynn is a great karate instructor and is very patient with the students. He is able to look at each student individually and work on their strengths and improve their weaknesses. It is a great place to start if interested in karate.
