Travel Town Railroad

I go to Taco Bell pretty often, but this was the freshest and best food I've had from TB in years. You could tell someone was passionate about preparing the food, there was obvious attention to detail. We ate inside and it was clean and quiet. We will be back.

I miss being able to climb on all the trains. But time conquers all. I grew up going here and am so happy it is still around. It’s a huge piece of history that they do everything in their power to preserve. And nothing beats thAt. A slice out of time , that takes you back to early America, and I must say this place has always been nothing short of magical and amazing.

Simple & non commercial. Was there on a Friday and the museum was closed. Access to the passenger train cars was also closed but we could still climb up into two of the engines. There a lots of tall pine trees and despite being freeway adjacent it felt pleasant

There is plenty of parking for Travel Town Railroad so no need to worry about that. The actual area is pretty small and can be done in about 1-2 hours if you take your time and 1 hour if you do it quickly. Seeing the old trains are cool and there are a lot of them asking to see. The gift shop is little and kind of expensive. The train ride isn't expensive and it's cool to ride to get a quick look at the whole area. Best of all it's free to get in so overall it's worth a trip to check this place out.

Travel Town is a one of a kind attraction that will amuse nerds of any age. Basically an outdoor train museum with historically Significant engines, boxcars and cabooses. You don’t have to be a depression era hobo or an overall wearing want to be engineer to enjoy and appreciate these titans of transportation.

Got into Dallas late for NAPHL Weekend. That mixed with the debacle that is the rental car area. This place was one of the only places open at 2300 hours.
Quick, friendly and easy to find. Good 👍 for a late night 🌙 stop.
