Lucas Christian Academy

Our family loves LCA! The most unique aspect of this school is the strong focus on mentoring, connecting students, and bringing them closer to Jesus. Admittedly, when we first enrolled our kids, I thought the Higher Ground (chapel) program was neat, but our kids were already invested in our church, so I could take it, or leave it. I quickly learned that the Student Life department is the heart of LCA--they are purposeful, intentional, and genuine, and their goal is to build relationships (student-to-student, mentors, teacher-student, adult volunteer-student) so that students have many God-loving people to walk through life with, and to ultimately strengthen their faith walk. Our family decided to send our younger kids to LCA BECAUSE of this program--the program I could take or leave? Yes, it really is that good! I have had the pleasure of watching my kids grow and strengthen their relationship with the Lord, and I am so thankful. Students must invest, of course. If they choose to go all in, they'll be surrounded with the most caring and wonderful people, and they'll grow in their faith in ways they never imagined. If they don't commit, these same people will still love them, pray for them, and walk with them through life. I focus on this aspect of LCA because it is what makes it unique. We also have qualified and caring teachers, high-level academics, and excellent athletics and arts programs. These are all excellent and noteworthy, but at the end of the day, the character of your kids is far more important than all of the other stuff. They'll get it all at LCA! Though no school is perfect, I wouldn't choose to send my kids to any other school.
