Michelsen Lauren DO

Dr Lauren Michelsen is an awesome doctor. She delivered my 10 year old in 2009 and in 2011 she helped me through a miscarriage as I suffered from help syndrome. To date I still talk about this doctor and her impact. If you are looking for an OBGYN who isn’t just about money but true patient care and knows what she is doing and does it with heart go see her. I will actually give her a call this week as we are expecting our 3rd child now.

I have seen Dr. Michelsen for over 10 years. She was with me during my experience of trying to get pregnant and then getting pregnant with triplets. She is the most caring person in the world. She called just to check up on me even though I was high risk I had two doctors one for me which was her and one for the babies. I saw them every week. They did the best to save the babies but I had issues and it was nothing that was not a fault of her it was that my body could not carry the babies. She was a true friend and went above and beyond sending flowers to the home calling and checking in on me and was excited when we adopted our son. She was the first person I called and she recommend the best peds doctor in the world Dr. Schwartz. Every time I took my son to the doctor because he was so sick when we adopted him she insisted on seeing him. She is a amazing doctor and yes sometimes the billing office makes mistakes but they are not hard to deal with and fix everything. I have to say she was with me for several hours and the only reason why she left was because she had to delivery a baby and with the triplet the other doctor was the lead on my case. So for her to spend so much time with me hugging me and talking me and my husband through it was amazing. Again I can't believe anyone would say she does not care because she does if not she would not have so many patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Michelsen for 6-7 years. Dr. Michelsen is a Fabulous and Caring doctor. She is always Professional and Kind in her demeanor. If you're in search of a super Smart, very Savvy and completely thorough Doctor, yet Calm and Laid-back, with enough Passion to assist you in any medical way possible… your search should end here! I have never experienced an issue or problem with her staff and or billing, and have never sat in the waiting room longer then maybe 10 minutes, max., and have always found their appointment scheduling to be sooner than later, meaning you don't have to book weeks out to get in for an appointment. On a personal note, I'm a bit of a type "A" personality, so I find her sense of calm to be just the right ingredient for me! I now live north of San Antonio in New Braunfels, and will still travel the distance to see her each year for my Well Woman Exam. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Michelsen.
