This is a fantastic little museum worth a visit for sure. No matter what direction you drive to get there, it's sure to be beautiful with the rolling green hills around you. Most museums have so much crammed in them you're rushed to try and see it all, let alone be able to digest any of the information. The guided audio tour was informative with a great pace and I was really able to put myself back in time and imagine what it would have been like experiencing the different phases of travel in America. Writing a postcard to friends made me think of all the postcards from the early 1900s I've seen over the years and it was interesting thinking how long it took for a text (postcard) to arrive then versus a text we send today. It felt wonderfully indulgent to have a slice of pie in the old diner and chat with the waiter. Don't miss out on this experience for yourself!

We came here for a Father's Day adventure and had the absolute best time! The audio tour was very informative, and the staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They had a fabulous Tot room; our almost 2 year old had a blast while my husband and I took turns going through the museum. The pie and coffee at the end was a wonderful bonus to a very informative and enjoyable museum trip. Overall a great visit, and would highly recommend this to anyone in the area or passing through!

Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the "Lincoln Highway Experience." I can't believe how nice the facility is and how many times I have driven by without even knowing how great of an experience it would be.

There is so much history that I did not know nor did I know that it runs from coast to coast AND is the oldest coast to coast highway. You will enjoy a mix of old and new. The modern section is filled with replicas of the old sites along the highway. Also in the new section there is a Serros Diner replica where you receive a complimentary piece of pie and coffee included with admission.

I recommend visiting if you are out of town and especially if you are local. Stop driving by everyday like I did, I really think you will be impressed and definitely learn a lot.

    Adults $15, Seniors/Veterans/First Responders $12, Under 5 Free.

The tour is self guided with a provided listening device. The sections are numbered and everything is at your own pace. I recommend beginning each section at the same time if you are with others.

Special thanks to Greeter Stephanie C. and Danette at Serro’s Diner for making the visit special.

There is a short video (under 15 minutes) called "Through the Windshield," which tells the story and is well worth watching. I found "Through the Windshield," on YouTube which provides a glimpse into the rich history behind the Lincoln Highway, see link below.

Step back in time at the Lincoln Highway Experience! This place is a hidden gem. The exhibits were great and the children's play area was loads of fun for our toddler, but they saved the best for last with the restored diner, replica roadside motel, gas station, and mint vintage auto. The diner experience truly made me feel like I'd been transported to another time and place, and I could have spent hours there soaking up the music and 40s vibes. (And coffee and cherry pie!) They even had snacks for the kids and gave them free Moon Pies and soda jerk hats. I would love to go back again.

The Lincoln Highway Experience is something I have passed several times a year and never stopped to visit until recently. You may miss it as you drive down Route 30, but if you see a large gas pump outside, you are at the right spot! This is very kid friendly, and has the opportunity for kids to ride old pedal cars and fill out a post card to grandparents or relatives. The staff is extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable on the history of Route 30. The is a self-guided tour with audio that guides your through different parts of Route 30 in southwestern PA. There is also a short video during the tour that provides additional information on the history of the highway. At the end, there is a very nice gift area along with an old diner inside of the building! Our admission included a drink and a slice of pie. We really enjoyed it, and encourage anyone in the area to stop by and visit this experience. If you’re wondering how large it is, we completed the entire experience in about an hour and a half, but you could easily spend two to three hours here.
