Since living at Passavant Retirement community I have had PT treatment many times for different issues. Molly PT is the very BEST therapist I’ve ever had over many years of surgeries etc. She is very thorough with her treatments and an extremely caring and compassionate therapist as well as very professional. In addition she has become a great friend. I have also had Georgeann as Occupational Therapist. She too, is awesome, caring, compassionate, and thorough. I am so thankful for all they have done for me, and continue to do an at home program as well as pool therapy. I really miss them both as I was able to leave the program and work on my own. It is good to know that they will always be there for me if my doctor feels I should have more therapy.

Prior to living at Lutheran Senior life I have been to various places for physical therapy for lack of balance and weak leg strength. While they did
similar exercises, working with Molly has been a breath of fresh of fresh air.
She understands the human body well and explains why we are doing each exercise to correct my issues. She works me hard but is patient with my slow grasp.

I have had many years of physical therapy (15 yrs)all respected. Became resident here under a year ago and began PT for an existing medical condition. The PT that I worked with is a wonderful, ultimate PT person. The department has the varieties of treatments that are needed to provide alternative methods that are less invasive than drug and/or surgery. Personal physical therapists, machines, and a wonderful pool have become a wonderful lifestyle for me. It is an experience! It is a complete program for me! GREATLY APPRECIATED! RIGHT HERE WHERE I LIVE, SO EASY!

Chelsea has been administering OT therapy for my severe lymphadema for approximately 8 months, with interruptions due to hospital stays. These interruptions are crucial to this review as my lymphadema has never been treated during a hospital stay outside of diuretics.

Prior to being treated by Chelsea, I had gone years without treatment and my condition worsened, as one would expect. I began treatment with a local therapist after assessment, but only one limb was wrapped at a time. The other limb grew worse. I developed infection in the untreated limb. After the better part of a year, I showed little progress. And my pain was unbearable.

Chelsea began treating me in my home after my infection subsided. Improvement was immediate. Her calm and caring manner instilled a confidence in me that this course of treatment would change my quality of life. Lymphadema is not just a physical malady: it has a pronounced emotional component. It can restrict mobility, affect appearance, and reduce one to a state of not being able to be comfortable in any position because of pain.

Chelsea made me feel that I was fully participating in my treatment, rather than simply being subjected to a treatment regimen. When the reductions in fluid retention would plateau, we had open, inclusive discussion regarding what the new approach options were, and what to expect as far as comfort level.

This cannot be undervalued. So often medical personnel will give you space to talk about your condition, or your concerns, but will already have their mind. They don't regard what you tell them. Chelsea ACTUALLY LISTENS TO WHAT YOU SAY!!! That is a rare quality and special when you find it. This therapist has it.

If only there were 6 more of her.

I have been receiving outpatient physical and occupational therapy at Lutheran Senior Life for many months following an accident when I suffered a C5- C6 spinal cord injury and a later fall when I broke my shoulder and hip. The excellent therapists (Molly and Georgie) have helped me progress from non-weight bearing to walking with a rollator/walker. They truly care about their patients and are always working to update/improve my program. In addition to my walking progress, my core strength, balance, hand function, and overall endurance have improved significantly. The therapy is one-on-one, unlike other clinics where the therapist is trying to cover more than one person in an hour. I am so thankful for the therapy I’ve received at LSL, and I highly recommend them!
