Todd Nature Reserve

This is a gem. It is a true nature trail; which requires fording streams, stepping over fallen trees and going around occasionally muddy patches in the trail. Although the latter should be minimal in the summer months. The loop around the perimeter of the property is a nice walk and sections remind me of the hemlock strewn ravines of the Allegheny National Forest. The several trails are well marked.
For anybody that frequents the trails of the northern Allegheny County Parks system, try this Reserve for a hike. You will be treated to a quiet serene walk without bicyclists approaching behind you. A lot of bird watching groups frequent the property and when I see them I find myself looking up in the trees to see what they see.
