I had worked here a couple of months in the dietary department and really liked the job...very easy money and decent work environment with very nice people. I appreciate getting hired and thank them for my time being there the couple months i was there. I wish this company and the workers in all departments inside nothing but the best. Things got outa hand towards the last days of my time working there and i wish I would’ve played that differently but everything happens for a reason. I also had many ups and downs working here but overall i felt as if i did my job the best way any person can do it. I would recommend this job to anyone if u want easy money. Thank you chris and Christopher and all of the others in the kitchen👌🏾

    Hey everyone,

Since someone on here wanted to post their false opinions about our department and facility on a public forum, I figured I would post my reply publicly as well.

First off, the first false accusation ".They Allow all types of felons" couldn't be further from the truth. We screen and do background checks for ALL new hires. Depending on the employee, they are given state police and/or FBI background check if out of state. If their background check returns with any convicted crimes, we do not hire them. We've let people go/discontinue the hire process for people in the past for this reason. The accused person who was the suspect of the investigation came back with a clean background check upon hire. When the reports of the missing wallets were given to us, we immediately contacted the police and gave them all the information we had, as this was a very serious matter and had to have been taken care of ASAP. Every step of the way we kept everyone up to date about this process.

Secondly, for the second false accusation " their turn over rate is through the roof", Fact: there are numerous staff who have been here for 15...20...30 years and longer. These are staff members who understand the importance of excellent attendance, punctuality, and a willingness to do their work effectively and on time. Those who do not perform any of these 3 traits, are not a good fit for our department.

Third false accusation " they run Dietary like it’s a military instead of a place to work"; While this statement doesn't really make any sense, at the same time, this person objected to words like "sir" or "ma'am". What it's actually like, is we strive to always provide a very courteous environment for everyone that works here. Countless times I see people in the kitchen laughing and joking with each other. I know that doesn't happen in the military.

Fourth false accusation " nefertism is at an all time high in this place and if your not A person that likes to socialize and act all extra with The nurses or staff they fire you before the ink can dry on your application" For this false statement I'm assuming she meant nepotism, which I will have to address. I've never wanted to be called the "bosses son", I've worked hard to get myself my own name and where I am today. If anything, my father has been and is the hardest on me, and holds me to an even higher standard than anyone else in the department. I started at 14 years old and worked my way up to where I am now, including but not limited to multiple sanitation certifications, years of study preparing for my CDM credential, and then obtaining my credential myself. And when it comes to "socializing" with nurses and staff, we always encourage a COURTEOUS and positive environment and there is no harm in socializing with your fellow co-workers as long as it is courteous and not disruptive to your work.

Fifth false accusation " I had the worst 88 days of working here that I’ve ever had in my life they fire you Without proper cause for Things they’ve already written you up about" Now, I do not encourage talking about other staff members business when it comes to discipline, but since this person went on a PUBLIC forum falsely accusing us and our name, it is only fair for me to provide the facts. This person was EMPLOYED 88 days, but was absent for 14 of those days. Technically, we could have let this person go much sooner due to her frequent absenteeism, and lack of willingness to learn the jobs. They were eventually let go because of this, as well as a severe lack in work performance, according to her co-workers and supervisors.

To wrap it up, again, I don't have pleasure in doing this, I always like and want the work days for everyone to go smooth. I've been here 13 years and consider this place my second home and my co-workers my family, and since this was posted publicly I had to post my reply publicly as well. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. Thank you everyone.

I am very upset with the things I have read both of my parents were residents of briarleaf my dad for over 6 years before his passing my mother is still a resident there all I can say is my parents were treated with respect and dignity they were treated like they were their parents when my mother became a patient there she had a very bad decubes that was caused by her hospital stay well the nurses there healed it up the therapy department is great I can not say enough about this place it may not be the fanciest but I care more about the care they give most of the employees have worked there for over 20 years and that says a lot I know when I go home at night my mom is well taken care of. She always has a smile on her face when I come in to see her

My wife has been providing support and guidance to families at Briarleaf for over 2 years. She takes calls in the evenings and weekends being accessible to families and hospitals. She speaks highly of the longevity of the “team at Briarleaf” and I know she comes home happy knowing the residents are safe.
