St Thomas Anglican Church

My husband and two daughters have been members of St Thomas for roughly 12 years and each year keeps getting better and better!

I remember one of our only hesitations in joining this church many many years ago was that there weren’t many kids.
We wanted our kids to grow up in a church with other kids. Sunday Schools, Youth Groups, kid focused events.
Im so glad we saw things more clearly and understood that sometimes we have to go first.
Our church family now includes SO many kids! It makes my heart happy to see what St Thomas and Father Jay Slocum do to pour into these kids so they feel Jesus’s love. From Sunday School, to Children's Chapel during the Sermon, to Youth Meet ups and special events, to conversations centered around what each kid needs as they grow up.

We like to say we accept people just as they are, warts and all. was extra special this morning with all the kids serving and a puppet appearance for the beginning of the sermon. Thank you for hosting blessing of the animals today. The feast day of St. Frances of Assisi. Scouty was well- behaved and I was so happy to be there with other animal lovers. My hope is that they all lead a healthy & long life.

After leaving the Catholic faith many years ago, my husband and I decided it was time to start looking for a new place of worship. We tried another denomination close to our house but didn’t feel like a good fit. Friends mentioned their church and the following Sunday we gave it a shot. St. Thomas Anglican Church was just what we were looking for. As far as the denomination, we call it Catholic Lite. It is familiar but not as “stuffy” as we were used to having Catholic backgrounds. This congregation welcomed us all with open arms. After a recent foot surgery I’ve had a constant stream of get well cards, phone calls, emails and texts checking on me, offering help etc. What a wonderful second family we’ve found at St Thomas. I urge you to give St Thomas Anglican Church a shot if you are looking for a change, you won’t regret it.

Shortly after we got married my wife and I were looking for a church. We came by St. Thomas not knowing what to expect. We found St. Thomas to be a church that warmly welcomed us (but not suffocated). And we have really enjoyed getting deeper into its community in the last few months!
