St. Barnabas Nursing Home

My father was there for rehab while being nonweight bearing due to an ankle fracture. The therapists and nursing staff kept him moving and built his strength so he was able to discharge home once he was able to walk. Thank you for the gestures of kindness over the holidays to keep his spirits up. Many thanks to Geena Cna and her daughter, and Karen on 1 south, therapists Chris and Ashley, and all the nurses who helped coordinate his labs, meds and kept us well informed.

Outstanding facilities. Staff goes above and beyond to be of assistance. Food service is excellent both in quality and variety. They are very attentive to the needs of residents. Wide variety of entertainment activities are available along with on-site health and wellness care.

My father was in the skilled nursing facility, and received excellent hands-on care. He went in, in very poor shape, not able to sit, or feed himself. He left being able to walk and care for himself. Staff was attentive, and always returned our calls.

My aunt-in-law was in the specialty care unit for many months after a debilitating stroke left her bedridden and barely able to speak. Initially, she was very difficult but the staff was patient with her. She was treated very well. One nurse learned she liked dandelion tea and brought some in for her. Her final days were peaceful.
