This daycare is great! The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. I feel extremely confident leaving my son here. Small Steps Big Strides is educational, fun, secure/safe, and professional. Also, my son follows a special diet, and the kitchen staff have been very accommodating and helpful in assuring he receives the right food.

Staff is great, welcoming, and treats the kids as if they were their own. Highly recommend to all new parents in/around the Stow/Kent area.

Our son has been coming here for almost three years. Staff is great from the cleaners to the owner. Office staff is attentive and on the ball. Kelly, the owner, is accommodating and understanding that families have struggles.

Care staff is good. Combination of college educated teachers and younger “intern” type. Usually one teacher and one assistant for about 12 kids or so. Ms Sarah is the star teacher here. I’m sitting in the classroom now and she’s got the kids abiding by her every request simply by speaking firmly and pointing. Ms Sarah demands respect which is so necessary at this age, but he still comes home and talks about how much he likes her. Refreshing to find an employee who can manage the line between strict and kind.

Prices are in line with other comparable facilities. Hours are better than most.

The only reason I went four stars instead of five is I find them having difficulty managing children that are “outside the norm”. Children with differences or difficulties aren’t going to receive quite the attention they’ll need. Once a child doesn’t “fit in” the staff seems to struggle to help. It’s challenging and difficult. However, my son attends another school as well with IEP staff and they are able to manage him with much better results. So the ONLY downfall would be the staff could use some training in special education type lessons.

But beyond that small hiccup the place is great!
