Metzger Preserve

Awesome place! Has some trails to walk & near a river to walk by. I just went & sat near the river for some quiet, relaxing time. Well worth going!

This place is interesting and very pretty. Great to take a walk and check out the scenery.

Nice but not that big of a preserve that's close by.The entrance and parking area is the same entrance that you use for Ballard Park. There is plenty of parking, portable restrooms and Ballard Park is basically connected to Metzger Preserve. The trails are mowed grass going through fields but the trail that goes alongside Deer Creek is interesting. In the creek are things called concretions or as the canoe/kayak rental business on the other side of the creek calls them,Indian Rocks.

6 foot wide mowed paths. All views the same. Except the creek path.....lovely and cool there. Nice parking and Porta pots. Two baseball fields and nice play area. Easy access.
