The Hambone

I've been coming to the original for decades. It's nice to see it under new ownership to make it less of a biker bar and more family friendly with a way more inviting atmosphere. The food isn't necessarily any better than the original Hambden Country Inn, there's just more variety and a kids menu. I went over the weekend and the food was fine except for the pizza... It tasted like they reused the 20 year old oil from the Hambden Inn fryers.... The crust tasted like stale oil... Heck my kids wouldn't event eat it. Easy fix though. Good luck.

Longtime Hambden staple was recently purchased and completely remodeled by the owners of a Painesville favorite place.
Beautifully done with a barn motif, the lunch was delicious. The menu is new serving family farm meats.
Service staff was great and the new stopped to ask us how everything was.
It's going to be our new place to go!

Came in and had some fries and a few drinks. Loved the relaxed atmosphere here. Will definitely return sometime!

This bar has a great atmosphere, and the new inside and patio bar look amazing. The drinks are always good, the food is exceptional and i have yet to not like any of the food I've gotten. The owner treats his employees and his customers like family. You will not be disappointed with your experience here. I highly recommend the Red Roman Burger and the new steak quesadilla!

I grew up near the Hambden in which has been there for years. Food and experience has been up and down over that time, but I was passing through for work had stopped in for lunch. Had the southwest chicken wrap special with fries and it was very tasty and the fries were delicious. Just a ho-dunk little bar out in the middle of nowhere, but they got some great food. Yeh a tad pricey, but you know what, I suspect they invest in good ingredients to make for a good dining and bar experience.
