Jim and Mary Lee Canal Museum

My family and I decided to take a road-trip to NJ this past weekend. One of the stops I found along the way was the Morris Canal and museum. Upon glancing online at the history I thought this would be a great stop and interesting to visit. We weren't disappointed. Jim Sr. gave us a tour and took time sharing information with us, asking us questions and answered any questions we came up with along the way. My son is 8 and my daughter is 11 and both also enjoyed this.While I do think some smaller kids may lose interest (Even as an adult it's sometimes hard to imagine the past)Jim was great with getting my son involved and asking him questions. At the end my son even gave him a big hug. It's a great stop for anyone into the history of the canal, wanting to know about mechanics of the turbines or about the incline planes. Great stop for local families or anyone passing through and curious. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming. Thanks Jim for helping us learn more about the past! :)
