I had some wonderful boards made for Christmas from repurposed wood – as the trees came from the family’s favorite vacation spot, these gifts had a personal and special meaning for all of us. A dear friend of mine recently lost her mother. It has been particularly hard on her. For Christmas I wanted to do something special for her to commemorate her mom. I found Timberwood Artistry and saw that they could imprint anything onto a charcuterie board. I happened to have an old recipe that my friend's mom had written for me on an index card. I called Timberwood to see if they could engrave that into the board and they said it was no problem.
Well, can I tell you how amazing it came out. Right there on the board in her handwriting is the recipe she had written so very long ago. I gave that to my friend for Christmas and she was so incredibly moved. She now has an amazing keepsake in her mom's handwriting that she can use time and again.
