Superb trail for walking, jogging and biking. I biked the entire rail trail from Salem to Manchester. Windham Rail Trail is one of the best segments.

Very nice bike trail. The end in town is not very well marked, and I couldnt find the way past the school. Other end is beautifully paved. Goes on for quite a while. Unlike many other rail trails in nh, there were no homeless or drug addicts all over the place.

Awesome place for walking, biking, running, etc. Very well maintained and real escape from the busy world.

Vist Glenn's Cream Cone and Rigatoni on the way.

The bike path is very lovely during spring, summer and fall and well maintained. The whole trail takes about few hours and starts somewhere in the Derry, NH region and ends around Salem, NH. During the walks or bike rides you can see lots of animals and beautiful scenery. There are also few off trail paths that one can take. Overall, it's a pleasure whether you're walking or biking. It can get somewhat crowded during sunny days, buy cyclists are usually courteous and let you know when they overtake you.

The caboose is interesting to climb on and peek inside. The rail trail is the main draw. We only went one direction and incredible veiws of nature on both sides. Rocks hewn through with 🌲 trees growing on top. Quite a few chipmunks. We heard geese honking. You are elevated above ponds and the river. With the fall foliage, it's a great walk. Even my daughter smiled. There are a few paths to the river and a few that lead into the forest. It's also a bike path. Well maintained and paved trail. Two porta potties at the train station. 🚆 Train station is closed. Limited parking. Place is popular!
We're going back! I recommend a visit if you want to go for a scenic walk.
Thanks to Christina Levitan for her review:)!
Update: Sunday afternoon, November 2020; We walked the opposite direction and crossed two roads. North Lowell Rd speed limit is 40 MPH. A sign said the direction we were going was a dead end. After a half hour, we still didn't see it. A little less scenic since you are next to private property and the highway, but, still a nice walk with benches along the way.
