(August 31, 2019, 9:18 pm)We had fun on this hike but to be honest we didn't find the mines at least as far as I know. It is easy to get off the main trail I think. We did find a cave sort of thing which we thought was the mine but I don't think so now. Uphill most of the hike.

(August 6, 2019, 9:19 am)Pleasant, but short (2.5 mi round trip) hike. If you follow the creek bed at the end of the trail, you get some great views and to see the months of two old mines (or the 2 mouths of 1 mine?). Parking (on rightside of the road, across from the Rainbow suburb) at trailhead is limited (maybe to 6 to 8 cars).
