  Modern and comfortable. The tile floors in my room were very dirty. Looked nasty. Would have given 5 stars if cleaner floors and carpet.

  The first hotel (belonging to a different hotel chain) we checked into in Lubbock was absolutely disgusting - we got a refund and went to Microtel instead. Staff was very kind and helpful. Room wasn't perfectly clean (small piece of plastic on floor by fridge and a single earring on the sink...), but after the nightmarish hotel we had just left, Microtel was a dream. Very comfortable, had breakfast, an open swimming pool, and overall was soooo much cleaner than the place in Lubbock we tried first. Would stay here again.
