Rise Martial Arts - Dexter

We have had a fantastic experience and I look forward to watching my son grow. We have been very impressed with the instructors who exhibit a perfect balance of having high expectations while showing genuine care for each student.

My daughter, 5, and son, 9, just started at Rise after they each had a free trial class to see if they liked it. They loved it immediately and look forward to going a few times every week:) The staff is amazing and takes the time to help with 1:1 instruction as well as in a group setting. I highly recommend Rise and look forward to spreading the word to others interested!

Rise Martial Arts in Dexter is an incredible blessing for our son. Mr. Fletcher and his staff provide loving, disciplined, and quality instruction that propels their students to become not only better martial artists, but better people. Our son is a little behind with his gross motor development, but his participation at Rise is improving his coordination. He is also more confident in himself and simply enjoys going to class. I seriously love this place so much for the growth I’ve seen out of my son that it caused me to write my first Google review ever! You won’t be disappointed!

This new mixed martial arts school in Dexter is fantastic. For decades, I have tried to find a martial arts or karate place that doesn’t burden the student by having to learn a new language, and having to do repetitive moves where it’s difficult to see how all the small moves add up to something that can be applied in a real life situation. Right from the trial lesson, the class is fun, engaging, practical, age-appropriate, and beneficial in learning “fight” moves - essentially self-defense. My 9 y-o daughter loves it. No contracts required! Easy parking. This place is a gem.
