Proud Lake Rec Area - Modern Campground

Lots are good size. Grade is pretty good at most of the sites I saw. Bathhouse has exterior doors for individual shower stalls. Water for campers is at the entrance. The spigots throughout the campground are not threaded for a hose. There are sewage clean out stations at the entrance to the park.

Needed to dump.out camper from a private property camping trip. Staff was nice. Dump station is clean. We've stayed her before so I knew that they were welcoming.

Nice campground friendly people they have where you can swim or they have where you can fish and as you can see find some little critters boys had a great time doing some night fishing a nice spot

Nice campground with basketball court, volleyball court, horseshoes, etc. The bathroom facility is very nice and appears newer. They have a couple larger shower stalls which are family/handicap friendly. The west loop has views of the lake. The sites on the loop of the west end are nearly under high-voltage power lines. Campground has 30 and 50 amp service (not all sites have 50 amp). Dump station has 3 stations.

The campground/park was average. One of the reasons I gave five stars was because of the staff- Carroll & Denise; they had greeted me earlier in the day when I had arrived at the park. They were very sweet and made us feel welcomed. The park was clean kept and nice, sitting right next to the lake with some beautiful views of the lake. Camp sites are a little small but very accommodating to tents although most if the camp sites had trailers. Easy to get to location and just a few miles from a Kroger grocery store. Prices were reasonable at $25 nightly. Although get prepared to pay an additional $9 a day for park entry if you are non resident or you can get an annual park pass (allowing entry into all Michigan state parks)for $35 (which is what I did).
